When the input is step, how come the capacitor c1 is charged to V?? Because then the input is zero for t=0. Right?
@HimanshuAgarwal_2 жыл бұрын
Yup, that's an error from my side. The supply has to be there from t= -infinity to +infinity, not step But I hope you have understood the concept that I wanted to deliver.

Then how much capacitor will be charge?
@Abhish1_72 жыл бұрын
@@Kishan_222 The supply has to be constantly V and not step input for the given question.

Can you tell me why we are not considering first resistance in the 2nd circuit (at 6:04 ) when the C1 capacitor is fully charged to Vi?
@coolbose7 Жыл бұрын
Since C1 is open circuited at steady state before switch is moved so no current flows through and hence total voltage appears across C1 as Vi

Vc1 at 10:30 should be V.C2/(C1+C2)?
@HimanshuAgarwal_2 жыл бұрын
Both will be having same voltage only. It would be V*C1/(C1+C2)
@maniyamsiddharth47918 ай бұрын
@HimanshuAgarwal_ bro even I am getting the same voltage, as in the circuit the charge is conserved so V- (V*C1/(C1+C2)) so it is V*C2/(C1+C2)

Hey for the first example, shouldn't the capacitors in parallel have different charges? you say they have the same charge Q1=Q2, but isn't that for series capacitors?
@HimanshuAgarwal_2 жыл бұрын
They are in series only

@@HimanshuAgarwal_ they are in parallel only, you mis spoke that in parallel they'll have the same charge, while you meant they'll have the same voltage across them as they are in parallel.
