Second this. JRB is brilliant, and that show is brilliant. I spend a lot of time thinking about it, especially the things that were willfully changes from the stage show to the movie to change the audience reaction. If you love TL5Y, look up the original cast album with Norbert Leo Butz and Sherie Rene Scott. SRS blows Anna Kendrick away!

Oi you aspiring VEGGIE top tip for a meanly cooked salad: chop up plenty of chopped sweet onion in a bowl and sprinkle with sea/rock salt; toss the bowl in a manner to integrate the salt well into the onion (a bit like sand and cement). Then add all your favourites : cherry tomatoes, grated apple, grated carrot, very thinly sliced cucumber, avocado, kalamata olives, etc. Add suitable quantity of olive oil; toss generously until everything is slimey with the oil - yum slithers of very thin cucumber coated in olive oil - then add your favourite lettuce leaves and toss again until the leaves are equally slimey. Double yum yum. Enjoy

You probably won't read this but maybe other people will? Idk. Anyway you should 100% listen to Next To Normal. It's such a realistic depiction of depression and mental illness, the music and lyrics are so powerful and it's changed me so much. Plus it's got Aaron Tveit in it. How could you not love it?

I'm trying to go vegetarian too! I think the trick is to do it in tiny baby steps if you're finding it hard. First I started cutting down the amount of meat I ate, but I still ate fish. As I cut meat out gradually, I found that I didn't miss it that much. Chicken isn't even that nice, you know? Like without seasoning or fancy sauces its actually really bland. Now that I've stopped eating meat I'm trying to cut out fish too so I can become fully vegetarian and not just pescatarian. And I haven't even tried making lentil bolognese or anything yet, so I'm really excited to do that! I really like not eating meat because you just feel like, heck yeah, I'm saving the planet!

I don't know if you've ever seen or listened to RENT but the whole concept of it is about how the past and future don't exist so we need to focus on finding fulfilment and happiness in the present moment. The line 'no day but today' is repeated throughout and lines such as 'there's only us, there's only this, forget regret, or life is yours to miss' really sum it up! I'd really recommend the song 'life support' and 'another day'. It seems kinda relevant to you saying you look for happiness in the past and the future, not the present!!

Meditation is great! I was a skeptic but it works for me when I actually remember to do it...I use Headspace and I love it, but I want to try Calm too now. Also I recently went gluten free (basically to be healthier & in case it's causing my thyroid to be overactive). I'd never even noticed the GF icon on foods and in menus before, but now it's all I look for. The little laughs at 11:33 & 12:31 make me happy lol :)

I just re-watched several of your more casual/talk videos, and was able to take a look at how many new-different-curious-tiny things that you introduce. I can really relate to this, because I do this as well. Most of the time though, others bring it up in a negative way - that it's wishy-washy and demonstrates a lack of commitment to flit back and forth between so many "hobbies" while still "failing" to stay present, grounded, and stable long term. I've only just hardly realized that this isn't a negative thing and been able to self-identify these behaviors in a more positive light. This is just how some of us practice self care. For me, I need a lot of things to occupy my mind and body with. I need to try things, research things, go places, commit to things for a while and find something else when it stops being something that feels good, or when it's all just too draining and I need to circle back to tiny acts of self care. I watch your videos a lot as a way to reflect and self identify with reference to another girl holding a musical instrument or paint brush. Thanks, Dodie.

(About the not wearing a bra thing) Gaaah, leave your judgements at the door if you're going to read this. I'm so glad that women feel so free and beautiful (which they are) not wearing a bra and wearing little bralette things. That's really awesome and loads of youtubers have been doing that. But personally I have really big boobs, so not wearing a bra would be impossible and even if I dad everyone would stare at me and I would hate the way I looked. I've always been so self conscious about my boobs and still am. And the youtubers I've seen not wear bras have all had very small breasts. But with all these youtubers not wearing bras and making videos about it has led me to feel so jealous of them. And hate how jealous I've become. This sounds very cliche, but I've never been the type to be jealous. I feel so ashamed of myself, the way I'm feeling. I think I just repressed all these feelings I had of hatred for my big boobs and now that all the no bras movement has been very present, it's forced me to face my own problems. Oh how I wish, wish, wish my boobs were smaller. All my friends envy me but they never understand when I try to explain why it's such a burden. I feel like I can't be like everyone else, and be cute and youthful. I'm 15, it's not fair. I can't wear anything little and cute because my boobs just overtake and ruin everything. Can anyone give me some advice or even just tell me they're in the same situation. I'm sorry I've rambled so much, this probably is of topic and no one gives a shit. I just felt like I had to express myself at some point or I would burst.

I'd really love to give you advice but unfortunately I myself have very small boobs so I'm probably not the right person. However! I think no matter if wether or not you're wearing a bra: you're beautiful and shouldn't hate the way you look under any circumstances! Even though I'm not in the same situation as you, I do understand how difficult this must be for you. If I can say one thing it's that everything'll get easier as soon as you start accepting/ loving the way you are. Trust me! I used to hate having small boobs and being small in general. But now that I've learned to love the perks, it's actually quite nice living in my body. Try it, it won't do you any harm I promise! Whenever I make noodles like that I love to add some tofu! Chop tofu into cubes, coat it in cornflour and salt, cook it in a pan with a little bit of oil and stir it into your noodles at the end- it tastes really ice I promise!

I remember you mentioned the bullet journal in a video some time ago, and then recently it popped up again somewhere and I decided to check it out. And OMG I love it! I haven't used it for that long, maybe two weeks now, but I have become so much more productive and I feel much more efficient than before. I get a little kick out of it whenever I can cross out a completed task, and it's so nice to see the monthly task list get more and more crosses. I'm not good with technology. And I know you're not always in the best mental space but the fact that you can still be so amazing just inspires me to try harder. Thank you, you help me in more ways than you know. Oh, PLEASE listen to the original cast recording of The Last Five Years!! With Norbert Leo Butz (Fiero from Wicked!!) and Sherie Scott, it is SO BEAUTIFUL and gives a very different (and I personally find, far better) feel of the musical than what the film did. The film didn't do it justice!! But so so happy you found this gorgeous show!
