Ang Lee is the director that I think more up-and-coming filmmakers should try to be like. In this video review of Ang Lee as a director I discuss his directing style and what makes Ang Lee great as a filmmaker. Many aspiring filmmakers and directors aspire to be over-controlling tyrants like Stanley Kubrick, Tarantino, David Fincher, or other megalomaniac madmen like well-known psychopathic director David O Russell, but I firmly believe that more directors should be more open and compassionate, and humanistic like Ang Lee is. He is living proof that someone can be both a successful, genius filmmaker AND a compassionate and caring human being. I also have a personal story about the time I met Ang Lee, so I do have a personal reason for why I think that Ang Lee is such a talented director that people should study and emulate. And that's why: More Film Directors Should Be like Ang Lee.
