@@margaretballinger2484 Nah the roar can be heard throughout the map at 3am every morning (In game time). It's usually nothing important, giving the game a bit more ambience. But after the recent update, they seemed to have changed the sound of the roar if you go to Krakens Fall island. The roar sounds the same everywhere else except for that island. No reason has been given yet.

There is one aspect of SOT that I really wonder about, and that is the storm. The storm doesn't form or dissipate or change intensity like a storm IRL, it's perpetually active and just bounces around the map while holding a consistent intensity. Of course this could just be a factor of technical limitations since Rare originally did talk about adding high/low pressure systems and storms forming accordingly, however if the perpetual storm really is a "thing" in the world then what caused it and why can't it move through the shroud even though normal clouds, winds, and water can? And why does it seem to move independently of the weather patterns? Is it even a real storm at all, or some creation of magic or perhaps an ancient being trying to escape? Probably not, likely is just a "due to technical limitations" thing, but still fun to think about.

I dont think this will lead to anything, but: the shining triangle looks a lot like a volcano to me, just upside down, or a mountain with a sunrise behind it. The droplet and the diamond could be a ship's sail and crow's nest, I dont know. So what if the runes are like hieroglyphs or pictograms, but from an upside down perspective - lets say below the water surface? Maybe the Ancients and the Merfolk had the same written language, maybe that is how they communicated. Just a sudden thought, probably easy to proof wrong ;)

I have a theory, GRAY WAKING MOONLIGHT. Now this could mean a gray moon, but this was found next to a resurrections table. Merfolk hidden eye could possibly be leaning into the PL hideout because there is the waterfall to go through, and didn’t Ramsey the pirate lord have connections with the merfolk?
