Really enjoyed this vlog. Am sure it will all come together for you and Incey. She has so much potential and she did do a lovely clear showjumping so practicing the water and cross country schooling before the next one should do the trick. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻 ❤

She was going well and much more up for it. Took her on a fun ride and she was very electric and had a lovely time doing Something different so 🤞

Thanks - this one is a bit dull. She is back to the eye clinic ASAP as vet noticed on a routine check that one eye has got slightly worse 😩. I don’t feel that was the issue but we absolutely need to rule it out.

Hello from Australia. Are there two kinds of riders? Those who mainly blame the horse for being "disobedient" and those who want to understand why (like you and Jancis) and are also willing to admit their mistakes? I liked the slow motion replay of the refusal with explanation. I liked your subtitles. It reminded me a little of a saying for dog shows: "the judge is an idiot" means "we didn't win". Looking forward to seeing another 8 halt.

I watch a lot of vlogs and think oh just stop with the excuses. Just own up to it being your fault as hadn’t prepared well enough, you made a mistake or it’s a training fault. Fail, fail again better next time!

Nice clear in the showjumping, shame about the stop on cross country. Hopefully giving her a schooling session beforehand will do the trick. At least you know the Regumate [sp?] worked!

It did, I cheekily schooled the same water at Cirencester on the fun ride and she was all good and had a lovely time pinging round all the jumps 🤞.

I don’t know if we will ever know… but we can just try and get better. She won’t ever be an advanced horse and will have a limit on how far she goes even if she has the ability.

That was a really ungenerous stop in the cross country. The positives of the day were an eight for your halt in the dressage and a clear in the show jumping. Onwards and upwards from here.

It was but she is a funny horse. Also need to get her eyes checked as routine check last week wasn’t great so needs to go back to the specialist as could be why we have had the dip in performance.

@@kippen64she had a lot of damage from Leptospirosis in her eyes including a detached retina. We have treated the Lepto but the eyes take a long time to recover and finally settle from the damage caused by uvititis.

That’s very kind of you, I am really very average but try hard to improve. You can see why pros don’t vlog eventing because can’t be seen to have crap days or make mistakes or could lose rides.
