I take my hat off to Dawn French. What a brilliant interview. "Are you still waiting to be asked to dance then Joan". And Joan Rivers seems so honest and open in response. Fascinating.

It’s crazy that she didn’t know how loved she was . She was sooooo unique that the world is very gray without her . Well Joan I can tell you I love, miss and can’t get use to a world without you .

In our house, when Joan was on TV everything stopped and we listened. What a talent.

'A Piece of Work' from 2010 - this will sound INSANE coming from 23yr old aspiring film producer (who's also a Brit - and male), but it actually changed my life. almost got to meet Rivers in person last Oct when she was gigging ' London's Royal Albert Hall as I wanted to thank her personally and give her a card. I had it all written out and everything. but I had to be up at 5 for work the next day and just couldn't stay. in hindsight, its one of the biggest regrets I think I'll ever have.

Joan Rivers is a fascinating woman beyond her stage persona. There's a great documentary about her too - I find her rationale and view of the world quite refreshing.

Kathy Griffin wishes she had half of Joan's talent.

Whey put others down? Joan was the absolute best in the business but Griffin is good too. I saw her performing at the Dolby theater in LA, a couple of years ago, it was a full house. She kept over 3000 people glued to their seats for almost 3 hours. She was fantastic; and Joan respected her too. You know, It’s always easier to be kind… 😉

And Kathy has actually stated that herself. Kathy is funny but has made many references to Joan as her comedy heroine and a trail blazer. No need to put down others who respect the ones who know all to well that Joan paved the way. If it wasn't for Joan Rivers female comedy would not be what it is today.

Joan thinks she is not an attractive woman , but she isnt ugly at all! I mean if you look at her in 1965 she was a bit loud but she ISNt unattractive in the way she thinks.
