I'm so glad I've stumbled across this series, 13 years later. RIP Victoria and kudos to Dawn's warm interviewing style.

Such an intelligent person who really observes the human condition. Her work has gotten me through some tough times, and I'm so grateful for the really good comedy experts in life. The theme song from "Dinnerladies" alone deserves an award...makes me cry every time.

RIP Victoria...thank you so much for making me and my friends laugh so hard when I was growing up...we used to try and imitate you and Julie and you made everyone take note that females can be FUNNY....miss you lots xxxxx

She is much more intelligent than is normally acknowledged. Thank you for posting this.

When I turn back on this, again and again, I fall even more in love with her, but I'm almost surprised each time. Wood was so smart, and I feel closer to her every time.

@FBooth Thank you! She's so sexy and I find it insane that no one ever refers to the fact that she's attractive in articles. She gets a bad rep being the funny girl from the North. A beautiful woman inside and out and this interview is evidence of her down-to-earth attitude.

Extremely talented lady who gives the impression that she undersells herself. Would love it if she managed to turn out another series as good as The Dinner Ladies.

Our culture needs desperately to hear older women's perspectives, especially women and girls.

I love the way she can speak of her ' Place at the vanguard' of woman's humour but I really do not hear any vanity- if anything a bit of humility...which is Victoria in the greater picture.

I'd imagine Victoria on stage an off stage is very different. With Dawn , id say there more or less the same.

Clearly the marriage break up hurt her greatly one wonders if the stress led to illness - hugely missed

yeah im 24 and i think Victoria wood looks great here, her hair is gorgeous and i could imagine snuggling and kissing her without any concern for her age, shes an intelligent woman with a good heart, a moral backbone and is a good looking woman...why should a woman be un-aged and stick thin to be attractive. ive found most women with a genuinely good heart are attractive. in their own way.
