Keep stuff coming. Not enough GURPS

If you're okay with extra bookkeeping, you could use the action point rules from the Last Gasp article in Pyramid 3/44

I'm fine with the 1 second rounds. You can certainly swing your sword at least 1 time per second. It's more a question of whether you'd actually want to do that. . . From what I can tell of actual combat, fighters tend to circle and spend a lot of time looking for the right openings to attack, rather than just attack-attack-attack. GURPS should probably give more penalties for simply charging in to attack every second, and bigger bonuses for waiting for the right opening. That would give more motivation for players to use some of the options mentioned in this video. But, again, swinging every second should still be an option. I don't have the GURPS Martial Arts book, but I'd be curious to see if there are any refinements in there for some of this stuff.

Good video, audio's a bit quiet though.

You and I have had it wrong for years - each action the PC "declares their action AND their next action". Now only you have it wrong. One way to handle high dodge is to make a quick contest between styles. highest margin of success automatically succeeds. Damn I love GURPS.
