I would absolutely love to see more content on the LJ! Honestly with all of the maintenance you guys need to do you’ve got hours and hours of content to upload. I’d love to see it all!! Even if it’s stuff I would never be doing or come across it’s still just awesome to see the way you guys work and the logic you guys have when you do things. Love the videos. Thanks!

@@gogerwi what ram 2500? The tow truck? It’s a Ford. Either 350 or 450 dually.

@@StormbornJKU No Chris is going to use a Dodge 2500 master cylinder on the Jeep booster to get more braking for the 60's bigger brakes. He and Bec mentioned it at the start on the build. Dynatrac just finished my Pro Rock 60's and I'll be needing to upgrade my bigger brakes also on my LJ. Hoping they will show a little detail of the adaptation of the 2500 master cylinder to the Jeep booster.

Man , I’d a taken a spanner wrench to the cylinder cap before taking it off the power dove ..it looks way loose. Some hydraulic ram manufacturers are too cheap to put locking set screws on the cap and they’re known for backing out. And thanks guys , I just got on Summit and bought the same low profile pan for my TJ.

Hey guys, love the content across the page from builds to wheeling and events! I just watched the part about welding the 3/8" thick plate on the link brackets... The corner to corner joint you welded requires a 3/8" fillet weld which you put in there in a single pass. Welding industry standards, AWS and CWB state that a single pass weld shall not exceed 5/16" when running wire smaller tha 1/16" in diameter. I am a career welder fabricator and would recommend doing multiple pass welds on anything thicker than 1/4" or 1/4" fillet weld.

Perhaps a Dana 18. There is a two shifter kit that allows high range or low range in rear wheel drive, and front wheel drive or rear wheel drive in high range or low range. It is small and short, about 11" in length. It is gear - gear also as opposed to chain drive. I favor gear - gear. Might fit your need...

When y'all replace the wood decking on the trailer, give the new wood a couple of months to dry out, and then get some good wood stain sealer to treat the wood and it will last a lot longer.

So correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the 4.8 LS block virtually identical to the 5.3 LS block? I think they have the same bore size, just a different stroke (crankshaft).
@Garage_Speed2 жыл бұрын
Correct. There are 3 things that are different. the pistons are flat top or dished, the rod length and the crank stroke. but the block does have a "stamped" next to the 4.8 casting mark. which would have been stamped by the manufacturer, to identify it as a 4.8, But im 100% positive, this was rebuilt.
