I thought I was the only one that had a problem with the fox. I ripped it out several times too. I even emailed mama made minis because I thought I was doing something wrong, the pattern never said to break or carry the yarn but I assumed they carried it. So their answer was to carry it loosely but I can still see the contrast yarns. Kudos to you for coming up with a great solution!

Yeah….it took me several do-overs, but I think the fox is too cute. My husband told me it was handmade and shouldn't look like it came off a factory line. So I am ok with the back yarn peaking through a little. ☺️ Have a great day! ✌🏼🤟🏼🧶

Those sweet MMM patterns! You are really really an expert at making them, imo! I’ve only worked with Parfait Chunky; not yet tried Bernat Blanket (just velvet style, so far) & I’m nervous about it, oddly enough. I need to make a MMM project & try it out! Yes I’m loving it so much and can’t wait to get started. Since you made the toad plush maybe you could help me. I’m on row 16 but I’m having trouble understanding what it’s asking. When doing a slip stitch and 5x bobble do stay on the same row or work across. Since they say to fold it flat they there are 7 stitches on each side.

@@alyssamdenovio8559 aw…don’t give up. With most all patterns, the stitches are worked in a complete row. I use a stitch marker to help me know where to begin and end my rows. I still get confused sometimes with stitch placement, but I tell myself to trust the process. 🥰

I'm probably too late to comment but I also find the Furls streamline metal hooks the best to use with Bernat blanket yarn. I sttuggled with Clover Amour, but my Furls saved me. And I just got my Knotted Loveys book! Just hope I know enough to make them!

Thank you for all your tips with these loveys. I, too, was concerned about the yarn changes around the mouth. I thought about sewing on a black strip over the yarn changes at the sides, but I will probably use the method you described. I think carrying the yarn loosely at the back is going to make the stitches too loose on the right side. I ended up cutting and knotting the yarn. I'm going to add a dab of glue to secure the ends. My fox's snout is more rounded than yours. It's not stuffed yet, so I'll see how it goes. Thanks again! I love your toads, too!

I saw that Michaels had a good selection. I did a bunny lovey in the Sweet Snuggles Lite. It worked great for the lovely. I agree that Bernat can be tough. 🤟🏼

Since it said "in second stitch" instead of " from second stitch" I thought all of the single crochets went into the second stitch instead of one in each stitch starting from the second one. Haha, I'm a beginner so I'm sure that's a silly mistake
