Pakistan's government went on a borrowing spree recently. It picked up 3.2 Trillion Pakistani rupees from local banks over the course of just 45 days. Pakistan was borrowing about a quarter billion dollars a day on average. The new mountain of debt was hidden with accounting tricks.
