Not a weird perception; it's because almost all mobile games are free to play, with terrible live service model. MCOC falls in the same category. Still, I like MCOC because there is good lore and characters hidden behind a trash live service model. It would've been amazing if Kabam and Marvel could make a paid AAA game with this lore, focusing on story-rich content for PC and consoles; then the PC player base would definitely get hyped for this game, but they won't do it because they are getting a crazy amount of money without even trying.
