Always hated that idea not to judge on the past. The past is important it shows the mistakes you’ve made and while there are some that can be forgiven some can’t. If you stole a car at 16 and accidentally crashed it that’s one thing but if you raped kids or men or women or killed innocent people on purpose for no reason I’m not gonna look past that ever.

I mean sure, but you have to think about the risk you're putting yourself in if that crime were to be committed again. Also the severity, the frequency and how much time has passed is important. I'd get in a relationship with someone who stole 1000$ as a teen, but someone who set multiple fires as an adult, no.
