Hi Tobias. How about making video on reasons people get elbow pain? usually it's due to bad technique and maybe string tension being too high. Thanks.
@Bussysaka2 жыл бұрын
it's based on your comfortable grip, drills and sometimes it may be lack of practice and it also how often you play

I was teaching this to a beginner intermediate level player on Saturday who refused to change their grip for midcourt drives... I'm going send him this video so he believes me. LOL.

Good stuff as always. Is hitting over the shuttle with a rotation actually a top spin? How exactly does that force the shuttle to dive once over net? Is it because of the spin of the feathers.
@tobiaswadenka84352 жыл бұрын
I am not 100% sure but I think it is the same principle like in sliced dropshots. Because of the spin it looses speed quite quickly. If you hit like that it is also very hard to play a defense long (what happens quite often when your opponent hits with power and you hit it clean back)
@oakoat93022 жыл бұрын
Im thinking the same. It look like a topspin.

How to do those flat shots from a clear or high shot cause my opponent is faster than me on court
@happywolfie19802 жыл бұрын
Hi Tobias, thank you for the informative video! Do you then advocate a defensive stance with using the backhand grip then, since very often the flat game starts from a flat return of a drive /smash shot?
@tobiaswadenka84352 жыл бұрын
You mean in the service situation? I would not fully turn to backhand but already orientate a lot into that direction

@@tobiaswadenka8435 i was thinking of ready position when facing an opponent's potential smash 😅
@tobiaswadenka84352 жыл бұрын
@@happywolfie1980 ah ok sorry I got that wrong. In doubles I would already turn the grip and wait on the backhand already as you can cover almost any shot with that grip

Tobi could you help me breakdown playing cross shot bcs i felt (and my friend pointed to me) when under pressure i almost always used straight shot (and i just realized recently) thanks

I notice that all of you were holding the racket very high up the handle, almost at the shaft, for these shots- how does the location of your hand along the racket handle affect shots?...
@kenkyuen2 жыл бұрын
Holding it higher up the grip gives more precision for the fast pace but you lose court coverage/reach.

Do we use the same technique when shuttle far from body? (Eg. when opponent drive it to the court sides)
@tobiaswadenka84352 жыл бұрын
Drive far beside the body is quite tricky as you have to rely mainly or purely on rotation and cannot make use of the thumb and the strechting of the arm so it is a bit different
