Hi Coach, although I mostly play doubles, I really enjoyed watching this. The tactics of the game for me are very important. I take note of all your points but sometimes in the heat of the game I don't think rationally. I have made a mental note of your comments regarding travel time on straight shots and cross court shots, very obvious but in the heat of the moment..... I really enjoyed your board and how you explained tactics. The video of the match really helped in reinforcing all you spoke about. Great tutorial, many thanks. Cannot wait for a similar one on doubles. Hint, hint.🤗
@CoachKennieAsuncion5 жыл бұрын
Hi D K! And yes doubles rotation will be coming soon but maybe in different divisions of video because really there’s so much to talk about in doubles. Glad you found this useful... i know what you said about in the heat of the game... take deep breaths to calm yourself and remember... you can’t control the shuttle if you can’t control your own emotions😁 Enjoy playing!! 😁🏸🏸

Thank you coach for the awesome tips. In addition to all your invaluable tips, I just want to share one important tips based on my experience. To become a successful single player, build your stamina first. It can be achieved by regular work out for at least half and hour a day. video points 1. everyone has a unique playstyle and there are exceptions, look for their strengths and weaknesses and pattenrs 2. for short players, move them around a lot so they lose energy (4 corners) 3. for tall players, hit to the body or drop 4. anticipate straight or cross court smashes according to patterns 5. don't move back too fast when at the front because fast straight attacks 6. factor for weaknesses 7. Hear the voice of the coach 8. accuracy (practice) 9. get opponents out of the middle, target weak points, move them around, then hit weakness (backhand) 10. opponent will also target your weak spot so watch out 11. smashing down the line 12. quick drop when opponent running around, use it in deceiving manner. 13. drops are good, but not on the same side if one after another 14. look for openings 15. breaks: take deep breaths 16. be careful we serving and receiving (no errors) 17. sometimes attack the forehand side (depends on opponent) 18. deceive opponents (make sure not hit net or out) 19. don't stop until rally is over, reduce unforced errors

For a long time I thought I preferred doubles because when playing at club, people always play in doubles. But starting from last year, I started to focus on singles not only because of the freedom but also because of the full responsibility. I can train myself as much as I can and the way I want. But I can not force other people to do the same thing. Also just running around on the court makes me feel happy. I love playing singles. Although I think after certain age it probably will become too difficult. But for now I want to enjoy it as much as I can.
