Went through the same thing with my Fbody, 2300 Magnuson installed with the stock alternator bracket missing that bolt. lined up like crap, slipped and, as soon as I went to an 8 rib pulley setup, started throwing belts. Bought an ICT Billet system to replace that bracket and had to cut around 1/8 inch off their spacers too, because they were pushing the belt off the crank. I believe I have that sorted now, but I snapped the next belt. turns out the Magnuson HD tensioner adjustment peg had sheared off. Didnt notice that until I snapped the second belt and realized the tensioner never returned to its spot. Fixed that yesterday, put an old belt on it just to test it. it popped the belt off the tensioner 2 ribs the second I gave it any throttle (and only the tensioner). Shimmed it out a bit more today. This tensioner was sold to me with no hardware to fit it and no one seems to be able to offer me any advice on how to shim it properly. and I have been playing with hardware store shims all summer trying to find out how to get it lined up, the alternator bracket was a distraction in the middle of all that when I realized how bad that was. Getting no help from the shop that help me build this car, in fact they thought the alternator bracket was just fine the way it was. been screwing with this thing all summer and its only driveable now if I never try to give it boost, if I do, Its instant belt destruction.

Great video 👍🏼. I have this same lsa supercharger setup that’s going on my 05 gto. I have the 6.0 but I swapped the heads and put on ls3 heads with a stage 3 cam. So I pretty much need to still get the pulley setup and I need a heat exchanger and a blowoff valve. I already have my upgraded fuel pump and ls3 injectors. I like the fact that you showed the pinning of the crank and really all the detail that went into this video is gonna be really helpful when I do this job.

Ya forgot some blue locktight on the front drive stuff. It will all rattle loose from the harmonics from the engine and the supercharger belt. Just looking out for ya dog. Its not fun loosing parts at a drift event! Especially theses nice parts!

U got the same problem I had keep throwing belts and found out that it was the power steering pulley was further in than the rest of the pulleys. Ended up using a leveler to see how far I was off.

That throttle body just needed the IAC port sanded slightly in the main bore, and the transition from the small hole deeper in smoothed out a bit. Thats all that Nick Williams, Warr, Holley, and others do with those to make them not do that and tune easier(theyre all chinese made in the same factory by G plus)
