These prices are insane. For the price of the shield bearers and the oathstone guy you can go to walmart and buy a 9 piece pots/pans set, 2 side sleeper pillows, a body pillow, a pound of hamburger, taco seasoning, taco shells (i went with lime flavored), cookies, crackers, a box of trash bags, sponges, dish soap, a dining set of plates and bowls, some light blocking shades, and a 12 pack of soda. Yeah, i just moved to a new apartment.

I am also suprised on this especially since GW hasn't released the Nightmare solo Killteams or even the Pyre and Flood solo warcry boxes. They sure do have a strange release schedule.

Aloha my friend. ya things are a bit messed up at the moment. GW rushed out the kill team set, so it feels like warcry should have come out as well. not to mention they delayed other releases to try and funnel our hobby dollars towards sigmar. but realistically warcry isnt set to come out for another 3 weeks based on the quarterly releases

There are already people selling off the different units at a fraction of the cost. $8 for characters, $20 for the units. Got myself the Warp Engineer and the Warlock for $16 +$7 shipping.

ya GW has been charging an arm and a leg for necromunda stuff, especially terrain. the Ash wastes terrain was insanely over priced, and flopped bad, just like the ash wastes boxed set. GW has a complete disconnect between what people will pay for terrain, and what they try and charge. especially since printing terrain is even more viable than minis

I know that people like you have so much more than me but I have 5 full range 40k armies, 3 full range AOS armies, and 2 full range Old world armies, and countless Killteam and Warcry bands. I was going to buy a full Dwarf army but from these prices ..Liam just going to 3d print the majority of the army and just buy the new main characters. I’m really on the edge of just spending money on other less expensive hobbies.

The funny part is all Warhammer does is push customers into a busy secondary market or 3d printing because of the obviously farcically inflated price of their products. We collect DESPITE them not because of them which is a really broken business model.

This caught me completely off guard. Though individual Warcry and Kill Team boxes would be coming out. Guess they are trying to keep Necromunda going. Glad to see the Dwarfen army coming out for the Old World peeps.

games workshop only sends out the prices based on the region... so because i'm in the USA, i only get the north america prices, USA and Canada. if i had GBP or Euro prices i'd share them

Secundus is cool but it lacks that must rush out and buy it now feel. Something I look to pick up at some point because the figures are cool but not a got to have it right now. Plus I've been out of Necromunda for so long I need to see how easy the old Zone Mortalis is to pick up before committing to the new terrain.

ya i like the new Necromunda stuff, but i'm def getting tired of buying stuff, for a game that nobody wants to play. GW had a chance to re-invent necromunda with a cool new "delver" game mode, instead its just more necromunda, which nobody plays unfortunately

Is ForgeWorld resin stronger than 3d printed stuff?

Nope. FW resin is fragile crap. 3rd party printers make incredible stuff. The Tiny legends Krieg stuff is amazing. Extremely strong resin, easy to work with and they even have flexible resin for tubing and stuff. I got the Grenadier upgrades, rough rider upgrades, weapons teams, heads and extra tubes. Worth every penny.

no honestly FW resin is pretty sub par. its decent detail but the quality is pretty bad. the stuff shows up broken and bent, missing pieces, etc. i honestly dont recommend anything from forgeworld.

As a fellow Aussie. Jump on the website, switch to the US site find something listed at the prices mentioned and then switch back to Aus site. It will help give you an idea e.g. the Orc and Goblin Battalion is $185 USD = $310 AUD

I think that $170 is a bad price point for an entry level game. I don’t know what the production costs are, but this seems excessive to me. I hate to keep complaining about GW costs but I feel like they are slowly forcing me out of their market. I have found miniature alternatives for Legions Imperialis, Lord of the Rings, and 40K. Even my son who is a big supporter of GW is getting turned off. So once again I am turning to other systems. Don’t get me wrong, I have dropped money on all of the Necromunda sets when they came out and Horus Heresy sets and Adeptus Titanicus but today I bout the Star Wras core set and have looked again into Bolt Action, Dropfleet Cdr, Firefight and other systems.

so compared to ash wastes, and dark uprising which were $300, $170 is a nice price, even though you're getting a lot less. but i do agree, every game they sell should have a $100 all inclusive starter, that has everything 2 players need to get started playing. i'm a big fan of the kill team and warcry starters, as well as the 40k and soon sigmar starters. but i think a lot of people are feeling exactly how you said. there are lots of alternatives, and people are def seeking them out. GW needs to course correct, or soon it will be giving up market share to the alternatives for sure

ya its a shame what they did to the start collecting boxes. most were cheap, great value, and had a nice vehicle or monster. the new spearheads and combat patrols are far less value, and no longer have a centerpiece model in most. GW has completely lost touch with the consumer. and now exclusively markets/sells to adults with luxury income.

@@WarHammerMan your right there were great value and i fully get were your comeing form as there have stoped playing games in the shop the thing that made everone want to start playing the game this hard selling type of thing there doing now is just pissing everone off and makeing everone drop 40k and its such a sad thing to see seeing as there is still lots of us that still love 40k on a hole i do hope there start to undersand this in time that we want to be able to play there game still but beable to buy it at non insane prices. we arnt buying there stuff just for them to keep riseing there prices were buying there stuff as its something we love to do .there are models that i have spent a lot of money on that i can no longer use thanks to them. that there dont plan on replaceing . its not just me my self there is 1000s of us i know its happoned to but what i am saying here really is i fully get what your saying.and i think this needs to be made more awere to everone what Gameswork shop are doing.

@@Adamantos-Elean i played warhammer fantasy back in the day, and honestly it was terrible. thats why they killed it off. i think its great they are bringing it back for people who like it, but in my opinion, its to capitalize on nostalgia. i've played every game GW has ever made, with the exception of the brand new sigmar 4.0. the fact of the matter is, 40k 10th edition is better than its ever been. as far as sigmar, its far better than fantasy, and exactly why it is more popular than ever. i get why people like different games, and thats cool, but saying fantasy battles is made for actual wargamers is provably false. its a terrible game system, and the models are 30 years old, and atrocious. but i'm glad you like it, and dont care about the models. most people are into the hobby, and gaming. for gamers strictly, you can def just move around paper proxies, little dollar store army men, or fantasy models, but most people are into the models, as much, or more than gaming. i love the games, and the models, so for me, 30 year old sculpts are not nearly as fun to play with/paint. but i'm an actual hobbiest/gamer. lots of people like checkers, but thats a perfect example of moving around pieces in a game, not the actual Wargaming hobby. to each their own, cheers, but the fact of the matter is $$$ reflect what people like, and all the money is going to sigmar and 40k. not fantasy. its just a cash grab IMO
