More problems but pushing through

Hi, I'm April, I am a reborn artist, Mother of 5 and a Gigi (Grandma) former nursing assistant, medical assistant, and phlebotomist now disabled and wheelchair dependent due to genetic and autoimmune diseases, and spinal surgery. People with my genetic disease, Ehlers Danlos Syndrome are called Zebras which is why I named my nursery as I did. I love to make all types of reborn babies but open eye babies are my favorite. I mainly use air dry/acrylic paints and mediums(Golden fluid, RebornFX, and Ultimate Fusion) and I root most of my dolls but do some painted hair babies as well. I do tutorial videos and everything that includes reborn dolls and Ill also, infrequently, make a few videos about the rest of my life.

Charlie is adorable! The hair is amazing! That is too bad about that chair and the stain coming off on the baby. That happened to me once, I bought a little antique toddler chair and the red paint came off on the legs. It was during summer when it was hot, so that tends to happen more during that time. So if you buy chairs or props in winter, check them when it gets hot just to be safe, or if you put them near a heater in winter. I am going through Lyme antibiotic treatment and it's RUFF, so I have not even been able to get started on a new kit that I am excited about, so I understand trying to be an artist going through the physical garbage and emotions. Hello April! I'd be interested to see how that apparatus works when your ready to install it in a toddler. Charlie is looking so sweet. I love the combination of lighter hair around the edges. Really cute! Dang! I can't believe the chair did that! Horrid chair. Just never know how vinyl will react with varnishes and stains. I'm always putting blankets over any chair if the babies have limbs exposed. So frustrating!! sorry you have more work to done when you thought you were all finished. I know frustration is challenging when there just isn't a whole lot we can do to change circumstances, but you always find a way to march on. You do have gorgeous babies and lots to be grateful for, as I have to remind myself of exactly that, every single day. I wish I wasn't an ocean away so I could at least give you a big, gentle hug. Thank you Melanie, I appreciate your understanding. I agree about being careful about chairs and I was thinking that maybe I should put a blanket down but for some reason I didnt. Im hoping after we put the varnish over it, I wont have to worry so much but Im not putting bare vinyl touching that wood again. It is really frustrating and it really made me sad but I quickly found a solution because its fine to pout a bit but then you have to keep going 😁. If I cant get the stains off of my Pickle, I have another kit but I have plans for that one, I will make her a boo boo but I really dont want to take booboo's to the doll show and I worked too hard on Saskia so I will replace her legs if I have to. I was thinking I really need to catch up on your videos and I see that Patricia just put one out as well. I have my pump refill tomorrow so I will have some time to watch some videos then and when Im home. I hope you are having a great time!! I did see the tree at DOTWE but I didnt know they used a cat tree...it was very creative but probably very difficult to travel around with 😆. I cant wait to see you as well...I hope I can get everything done!!! Now i have even more work...ug! Oh well Ill keep going. My neck is doing so much better since my wonderful Physical therapist is here every weekday morning to massage my neck. Hello April Im caught up now 🤪. I have a brandnew grand baby so its been hard to find a moment to just sit in between my appointments his and my daughter's lol but here i am and im glad i got to catch up. I love seeing MeiLi 😅 Im so annoying 😂 with her i know but shes just too cute. Maybe one day i will try to buy her and paint her myself but i have to wait to move 😩 . Thank you so much! I use mainly air dry paints (Golden and Ultimate Fusion) but I also use heat set paints and heat set varnish. I have a lot of them painted and some finished because Im preparing for a doll show 😁. Right now Im furiously rooting and painting hair. 🦓🤗

Where did you order the ring (the one that goes around the waste of the upper torso) from? Did they have 2 sizes one for the 30 inch & for the bigger 40 inch torso?

That also comes from Still Moments Nursery in Australia. I think they only have the one size...it does look a bit smallish to me. It came in the mail after I put MeiLi together so I didnt get a chance to try it but I may take her apart to try it anyway.
