Hi dear April 😘 thanks for coming by. These three weeks' pain is terrible . Last month I baught a sebastian kit and I started painting him normal with the same paints ( acrylic) and procedures I did with the other 3 babies that I have and when I gave it a paint with blood red colour the baby turned orange I washed the baby and I tried to apply green washes and light pink buy its remaining orange . It looks like a very old baby from 1950 s . 😢 if may I ask if it ever happened to you ? And how can I turn him into Norma l skin pls ! 🙏 . I ruined 250 Eur 😢 it took me soo long to save them 😢 I bought it from macphersons thanks in advance for your reply kind regards Cynthia

I havent had that problem with red but definitely with darker colors. Sometimes you just can not overcome and its just better to strip and start over again. I dont know what paint you are using so Im not sure went wrong...it could have been not enough dilution? I usually only use Alz. Crimson hue...its bascially the only red I paint with...I use different reds in powders though. Im so sorry you are in pain, I hope things get better soon. I love Sebastian...eventually Ill get that kit. 🦓🤗

Thank you so much...so glad you found me. I am still working out the details of Timber's travels so Ill be happy to talk to you about that. Unfortunately there will be possible taxes and other issues during travel but since hes small I though there might be less or no issues with that. I just have to be careful with him, I want him to remain safe and end up, eventually, back at my house 😉. Thank you again, I love that I have more viewers and more customers in my neck of the woods. I miss painting so much. I have been in hospital since June 28th. I went in coma from septic shock. I was waiting for a hip replacement. You do such beautiful work. Before I got sick I had started using liquitex acrylic inks for painting. They are clear, no paint chunks and stores so nice. Sue Ellen said she was going to do a tutorial on them. That they were perfect for reborning. Prayers to you and pray for me please. ❤

Soo sweet thanks for sharing dear friend xxx . I ve got a problem that I can't understand as I m painting baby Sebastian with acrylic and when I applied blood colour some time after the kit turned orange 😢 I tried with purple wash , skin colour wash but it keeps the look of an old vintage doll 😢 by any chance do you know why ? I scrubbed and washed the kit I did apply ultra matte sealer as usual. Now I tried to. Wash ans scrub off the paints but it reminded ugly orange baby 😢 wish you merry Christmas full if blessings 🙌 🙏

OH no, that doesnt sound good. What paints are you using? Sometimes you cant overcome a strong color so you may need to strip and start again...Its really odd though for that to happen but it could be the paint. I hope you have a lovely Christmas in spite of everything else 🦓🤗

Hi April happy belated Thanksgiving! I have one of your babies and wish I could buy my favorite, maybe one day I will be able to just get a kit and make her myself lol. Those cuddle babies are a good way to do this hobbie at a cheaper price but I have never looked up toddler size cuddlers lol, I should go and see if there are any! Love the vid!

You cant buy Ashia's head unless you bought it from another artist willing to sell. Shes a limited kit, I messed up her limbs and decided not to strip them and just use the finished head. I hope you find a head that you want to use, I know Mac's is sold out of a lot of them, I got some of mine from them. Thank you so much!! 🦓🤗

Hi April, your Ashia is gorgeous!! If you like Flora, look at the Isadora kit by Shy Mrofka- she's a dream. Don't be fooled by the prototypes, they overpainted her lips. I love the coloring you produce with Golden, wish I were brave enough to switch. Take care and thanks for your time!!❤

Yes, Isadora does look some like Flora, also reminds me of Rosalie by Olga Auer a bit. I think its hard to go from heat set to acrylics but Ive seen a lot of people do it. I have tried heat set but Id have to work harder at it before I was happy....also, too much baking 😆. Sometimes its good to just stick to what you know...it can be like starting all over again to swap paints. Thank you for watching 🦓🤗

Hello April! Just sent the family home this morning after a wonderful week of good food and company. Definitely my favorite holiday. Lovin' Vito! I do love a furrowed brow, especially on an elf. What a cutie. Awesome feet and hands. I love Fred elf, he's one that I am keeping for myself. I really love the Edith sculpt. I don't need anymore sleepers, but she is really tempting. Awe, Ashia is really sweet. Safe travels Ducklin! You are still a busy lady even though I thought you'd have a breather after the show babies. I don't think you know how to slow down, lol. I did take a bit of break but I miss painting. Pretty soon Ill have to start making dolls for the next show since they passed the torch onto the new person who is running the shows now...so exciting. Edith is really cute...love that double chin! I should paint all three of my elves together, I think it would be fun. Good to hear you had so much fun on Thanksgiving. I miss it, I always get pumpkin pie and mashed potato cravings around this time😆. I think Vito looks nice with the resin eyes that Amanda made. Have a relaxing weekend....you probably need it after all that holiday fun. 🦓🤗

Hey April!!! Fun to see you this morning before I head out to town. Need to pick up some needs before the family arrives tomorrow for Thanksgiving this week. Your Ava is very sweet. Cool eyes!! I really do like the blue sceleras. I just booked my hotel room for the June show in Greensboro NC. I always look forward to seeing friends and artists. I really do love the Deliah sculpt, but I seriously do not have room for sleeping babies. I prefer that they are laying down. I just wish I had a bigger room, or another house, lol. Awe, Hello Vito! I hope you have a great Thanksgiving...I tend to forget about that holiday sometimes but I do miss it. Food is one of my favorite pastimes 😆. Its great to have family around! Yes, sleeping babies should be laying down..its why I decided to pass on the sleeping toddler from Sigrid Bock but I preordered the awake one. I think a sleeping toddler is just too much, they need to lay down and their hair will get all messed up...I think too much about stuff like that sometimes, maybe thats a good thing 😉. I like Delilah too but not as much as I like other kits so I dont know how I ended up with two...maybe Ill sell the other kit, I dont know? Have a wonderful rest of your weekend and enjoy your holiday week🦓🤗

Hello, so glad you found me 😁...how exciting you are just starting out!! Its not easy to get dolls to stand, sometimes if you just weigh them right they are good but most times they need an armature which is a plastic thing that acts as a skeleton. Ill try to get some of mine out in the next couple weeks (my bins are in the garage so I need hubby to fetch them for me) and show on camera. Hope to see you again and Im so glad I can help 🦓🤗
