I think the people at the island with the Land Rover forgot how the islands work.

I am beating myself up for stalling and having issues getting into right gear sometimes. But at least I haven't done any of the stupid stuff I saw in this video. I do need more practice, it's denting my confidence. Drove on the A85 the other day, through Black Mount, Rannoch Moor and Glencoe.

Hey Alex! Don't give yourself a hard time for stalling or gear changing! It happens to us all. (Although, I must admit - it's actually quite difficult to stall an automatic) so, that's one thing I do like about driving an automatic 😂 You're still a new driver - I still consider myself a new driver (after 3 & a half years), and yes - I still make mistakes, but try not to dwell on it. But wow, how lucky are you - to be driving through Rannoch Moor & Glencoe (you must have some lovely dashcam footage) I'm jealous 😀👍 Stay safe out there 😊, Nancy.

@DriveSmartDash thanks for the encouragement Nancy. I drove the wife's car and got that temporary insurance but was expensive. Her car has 6 gears as opposed to my 5, so it was even more challenging. I do recommend that drive through Rannoch and Glencoe, amazing at any time of year, really something special there, just unfortunately gets a lot more tourists than other parts of the Highlands. Its all special to me! I love it there and it saddens me when I leave and get past Loch Lomond and onto Dumbarton.

@AlexMitchell-sj4sb Wow, 6 gears!! That would be a challenge!! I fully intend to do the Glencoe drive soon Alex & may even drive hubby's car (luckily it's automatic too, and I'm insured on it) it's a bmw 3 series, so a bit longer than my little Ford fusion, but it's a super comfy car to drive. I just need a bit more practice in it, as it's just so different from mine 😆 Yeh, I can imagine all the lovely autumn colours up there just now - hope you're having a fab time! 😀👍
