To be fair, if I were a Maximal or a Predacon in the Japanese BW continuity I'd take as many opportunities to say "Megalligator" as possible. It just sounds so catchy! I also love the fact we're getting a tiny Rhinox that truns into an assgun. Almost feels like a particularly cheeky nod to The Low Road.

Snarl and Jazz are the best reveals of this one. Although is it just me, or did Snarl get the Eighty-Sickness and get Dwayne Johnson’s face? Idk maybe I’m reaching for this one. Still looks badass, and I love how the Dino head actually has opening jaws this time, unlike the POTP one. And Jazz is just, well, you can’t go wrong with Jazz. Even in the 07 movie he was one of my favorites.

SS86 Snarl looks cool, finally Hasbro gave a Dinobot a sword which they were meant to! Not sure what’s going on with the dino mode though, he’s crouching too much if you ask me! Origins Jazz looks sweet, he cleans up well. But the one question is, where’s the Wheeljack to round off the set?!

I think the Optimus is as small as he is because Hasbro wants to do the “all the figures of the same size class are the same height” thing with the mainline, like with earthspark deluxes or cyberverse deluxes. All the mainline deluxes are the same height and seemingly, both Rhinox and prime are the same height aswell.

Someone just told me that the ROTB figures are all being done in a new Scale type, where they have the same names but they are cheaper and Smaller. So the ROTB Voyagers will be 25 bucks.

You were right on the names for half of the names for the weapon masters. The two you got correct was Cheetor and the ass blaster Rhinox. The other two have bit-on-the nose names, Arrowstripe and Chainclaw.

My biggest take aways 1) That blue chainsaw dog is only gonna make me think of a certain anime (Chainsaw Man) and now I need to see someone repaint it orange. 2) Mainline Rhinox might replace my Kingdom figure even if it doesn't match aesthetically. 3) 86 Snarl looking GOOD - Bot and Dino mode are killing it, and the 86 Dinos looking like they might be the definitive mainline version of the characters. All we need is Swoop. 4) Oriigins Jazz has a more accurate bot mode compared to 86, and that transformation is *truly* black magic. Wheeljack will no doubt be next - maybe as a voyager?

Green would actually make sense on this, it's a colour he could naturally pick up by being in a jungle, so Rhinox is the first of the ROTB Maximals I will agree on being able to have more paint. Though ironically he was also the most brown Maximal in the original cartoon. I'll do a nice weather job to it and make sure you see it. Also it may be wishful thinking, but looking at the zoomed in screencaps of his fleeting robot mode appearance in the trailer I swear to god he looks green.

They are not as big as they should be for sure, but they are absolutely bigger than the Kingdom ones. Oh man Moldy Rhinox... Or maybe Oxidized like the Statue of liberty. I don't know that he looks green, but the head does look reasonably accurate to the character.

Makes sense Rhinox and Airazor pretty much keep their heads. They actually translate very well, I'm loving the intricate sculpting on the helms of both Airazors. And Rhinox was like the one guy in the show who's face never changed so he doesn't have an array of heads to mix between like Cheetor... However that does then put it almost back on the level of me wondering why I should get it when I'm plenty happy with the Kingdom Rhinox.

The holes on Rhinox eyes look so uncanny not gonna lie. I don't really like how boxy the Rhino butt as well. It doesn't look better than Kingdom Rhinox in their own aesthethics to me. For Rotb Prime, i wished it was bigger and had better kibbles management. Out of all leaks, only Jazz made me really hyped even though his backpack is a bit too humongous.

But with him and the new Rumble figure, I'm half expecting the purple Coronation Constructicons with combining trumpets to be a thing. A bit sad he'll probably be a retool of the Jazz as the Ironhide custom you have looks great!

@@PerspectiveEnd the reason why it looks off is because it’s not ILM doing the vfx. It’s now MPC. Since they didn’t have the files for the models, they basically had to try replicate the BB movie model from scratch, which is why it looks wonky, and in wheeljacks case they didn’t even try

86 Snarl is going to be another instant buy for me. And I can’t wait for Swoop. However, with how good the 86 Dinobots are shaping up to be, do you think Hasbro should bring in other Dinobots from across the Transformers franchise to go alongside the 86 group? For instance, we could get a Legacy Deluxe/Voyager Slash, a G1 Legacy Leader class Paddles, and a G1 Legacy Leader class Scorn. A velociraptor, an elasmosaurus, and a spinosaurus, all in the G1 Dinobots style. I think it’d help Hasbro get some extra money in their pockets, and help to further diversify the kinds of dinosaurs we already have for the main Dinobots.

Just got space Jazz in hand and he is pretty great! He does have a couple issues though, they might just be a QC problem on my copy but his chest piece likes to fall off a bit and the sides of the alt modes are a pain to get tabbed in. But overall I really like him.

Man that ROTB Prime is... EXACTLY the fixes the BBM Prime needed. The elbows actually look logical instead of having what looks to be the only joint going in the opposite direction the elbow bends, the arms now actually look like they come from the side of his cab instead of manifesting parts that don't exist from out of nowhere, the front wheels don't vanish, and the roof ends up on the back like the NFL promo looked to have. Like holy shit I feel heard! Someone with some sense managed to break through the wall of GeeWunners insisting that the BBM Prime, which was never design with the intention of turning into an Earth truck, not being changed to better reflect the fact it's a transformer and thus needs to have vehicle parts on it. I wish wish WISH it was actually how he looked in the movie. The static shoulder blocks that don't move out with the arms actually kind of work logically here because now he's not going to hit himself in the head with his own smokestacks and in general I actually think it's kind of neat they remain static. Like Mickey Mouse's ears. Also I'm not sure how people don't notice this, but in the movie his robot mode has 8 headlights on it and NONE of them are the actual headlights from his truck mode. He's got the ones in his shoulders on parts that don't match the front of the truck at all, and then he's got 4 more in the silver parts under his pecs which ALSO don't look like the front of the truck. PICK ONE! Pick ONE place for the headlights to go, then actually make it look like the part they are on is from the truck! And it you are going to chose one, make it the shoulders, cause that will actually force a transformation change. But the vehicle mode. It's fine, it's got the same nondescript styling as Wheeljack, which makes me scared to think the Nightbird we saw was the actual SS, but unlike Wheeljack the headlights aren't seemingly floating around in the middle of nowhere looking entirely out of place. Now I am the first guy to be upset that the back of a Prime truck mode is basically entirely untransformed from the robot mode... but... It's kinda working. Like the feet don't look like feet there, and with them being grey while the shins are blue it does make it look like an additional piece like the sun visor, bull bar, and shoulder panels. I don't know of a real world truck addition it could be, but since the trailer hitch is on top of it maybe it's an additional support block to tow something like a camper trailer? Also this figure examplifies another issue with the design, the figure only has colour where vehicle parts are physically able to be. Primes stomach is evidently not from the front of the truck, and theres no specific parts there to even look like they are. The back of the real truck has basically only two bars of blue thyat could even be used in the legs. Then otherwise there's no other physical source for these colours to appear from.

What? What is this about the Elbows? The Elbows were the first thing I looked at and they were what made me think it was the same figure? Oh Great Fauxforming. Why does that being the Studio Series Scare you? The legs on Optimus in general seem pretty phoned in. Oh for sure the stomach is a different part, but like I didn't think for a Second they wouldn't Fauxform that because they always do now.

@@PerspectiveEnd One of the things I find unfathomably stupid about the BBM, and thus ROTB Optimus deign is how in the space where an elbow joint should be there is that giant random circle that doesn't look like anything and gets in the way of the elbow's logical range of movement. The SS made that radom circle the elbow joint which looks even more awkward because it's bending perpendicular to the implication of where it should if that random circle in his arm is his elbow joint. And on RoTB voyager Optimus they added an extra section with new parts to represent the actual elbow joint rather than making the random circle that joint. The new elbow on the figure is inaccurate to both films, but it looks far better in terms of how a robot arm would actually logically bend. Can't even blame the designers for fauxforming on these designs. The shoulders need the headlights in them, but supposedly become the side of the sleeper cabin which doesn't have lights there, so that needs to be entirely covered up. And the ones on his lower ribs, for lack of better terms, just flat out don't match the vehicle mode. The Nightbird we saw being the SS concerns me because SS is clearly the only way we will get accurate vehicle modes, and she is bogged down by the terrible plastic choices and absurd kibble. I want a good GTR Transformer, dammit! Not saying the legs aren't ass, SS 38 should be the baseline uniform Optimus leg transformation in the same way every seeker should be designed after Legacy Jihaxus in the chest, but I am saying that unlike most primes with similarily lazy legs this one doesn't look as terrible. I'm actually fairly easy to please on this, just don't make the back look blatantly like the robot legs (Barring cybertronian modes) and honestly this does it for me. See what they needed to do if they didn't want the grill in his stomach was to take it and push it somewhere else. Most G1 Primes rotate at the waist to swap out the truck grill for the faux one, so the easiest solution would be to integrate it into his spine instead of those weirdly round segments. However, and this is a stroke of genius on my end, I have a solution that objectively everyone should love. So Optimus' legs have too much mass to convincingly make the back of the truck, and the torso has basically next to no cab parts in it and doesn't have the grill. Optimus' shins have those vents in them, with horizontal lines right? Well his grill ALSO has horizontal lines. So why don't we take some of the mass that has to vanish from the cab and put it into the legs, and have the grill split and go into his shins? Now you can either make more of the cab blue, or put more red parts on his legs, but engineering wise this can work.

Swoop is smaller than the rest of the dinobots so he probably be a voyager sized figure but pack him full of accessories or he will be a slightly big voyager I think. If he is going the be the first thing I said, I hope some of the accessories are the rest of the dinobots Swords (big Swords and not the tiny things I've been seeing coming with figures as of late) Hoping for re-releases of the first 3 dinobots

-Rhinox seems to borrow engineering from his Kingdom brother, so I don’t know how much better it’ll be. And that alt mode is atrocious. -$10 says this Prime is going to be better than the actual SS ROTB Prime -Snarl looks perfect, but no gun? At this point just commit to the guns and either pack the swords with Swoop or give us an accessory pack later. -Jazz looks fantastic, I’m really excited to see the now absolutely inevitable Wheeljack. Origins for the W again. Aaand the curse will continue. I saw someone else review these and when they got to Snarl they said Swoop most likely will be smaller but will be given something else to bring or keep Swoop at a leader scale. Maybe Slash and Swoop two pack maybe. Or maybe a core figure that's better that the two previous garbage accessories.

The Siege Battlemasters sold fine, the problem was they were lumped together with the Micromasters (same price point) who sold really poorly. Granted it didn't help there was such a low variety of Battlemasters - else they would have sold great in stead of just fine - but because the Micromasters sold poorly Hasbro cancelled the entire price point. They should have just cancelled the Micromasters and kept the Battlemasters, using the Micromaster funding to make more variety for the Battlemasters. I suspect that the Rise of the Beast Targetmasters are actually the Battlemasters meant originally for Kingdom.

Having learned about SS 86 Snarl a couple of days ago, I am so loving what I see. But admittedly, when I saw pictures of the back of his dino mode and where his tail was positioned, I almost started laughing. And when I showed my brother the pictures of his dino mode back, he started laughing himself. I don't get me wrong, he looks great. But, his tail looks like he's curling it underneath himself as if he was scared of something. But definitely looking forward to getting him. Just now need to wait for Hasbro to confirm.

The Rise Of The Beast mainline is bringing back battle masters from WFC-Siege. The Optimus Prime comes with the battle master blue wolf that turns into a chainsaw weapon. Optimus Primal comes with a battle master Tigertron that turns into a crossbow. Cheetor turns into a sword, and a crocodile that turns into a blaster. There was also these little beast bots that was revealed. They become weapons, football helmets and shoulder pads for a mini Bumblebee, Arcee, and Optimus Primal. The green crocodile that comes with Optimus Primal, that's what people are making the reference to crocodile Megatron. Rhinox has two figures revealed. A battle master version that turns into a machine gun. And a regular size version, that's a interesting blend of the movie and BW cartoon design. Like the side by side shot of him and the Kingdom version. Optimus Prime does look cool, a bit shorter than his BB Studio Series and Earthrise figures though. Now onto the big news. -Studio Series 86 Dinobot Snarl was leaked. And he looks amazing from head to toe, the molded/sculpted details, and robot to stegosaurus dino mode. Also cool, he has a sword. Four down, one Swoop to go. -Buzzworthy Bumblebee Origins Jazz was revealed. And he looks awesome. It's like he jumped straight out of that G1 episode 1 Cybertron scene. Was expecting a Cybertronian Wheeljack next after the Origins Bumblebee, so hope he's in the works at Hasbro.
