The initial version, the 787-8, can carry 210-250 passengers, while the 787-9 can carry 250-290, and the 787-10 can carry 300-330.

Fun fact: ANA has 184 seater 787s, less than many a320s and 737-800s. They also have 212 seater 777-300ers less than this spirit a321 in that behemoth of a plane

I've flown on Spirit A321s countless times while traveling with my parents, I believe I also flew on N662NK back in 2018 from ORD-LAS.

If you purchase a Spirit Air or Frontier ticket at the counter (any airport with either airline) you save yourself the $23 surcharge each way. If I somehow talk myself into flying either one of these ULCC, I usually will save myself the $23/$46 and use that savings towards a bag/seat/snack etc.

To get as many seats as possible for Spirit Airlines made it cramped as possible 27-28in. Which makes it almost identical to a Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific version of the plane. The Legacy carriers in the United States tried to do it but then they'll lose their their Oneworld Emerald status Skyteam elite plus and Star Alliance gold members.

Good old 10C. did you have to taxi for 30 minutes on a tour of most of the 10 side of the airport?

No since 10C to Terminal 3 is like a 10-15min quick taxi. Nothing like 9R/27L 😬

@@ASAviation I've seen landing on 10C in the past where they taxi you back to the west and beginning of 10L to cross there, then back to the terminals from there, and it seems to take forever especially when using terminal 5, even though it's usually only 10-15 minutes. My wife landed on 27L when on Iceland Air and they also looked like they got the tour, although it was more around the terminal.

With your fare breakdown, I noticed two 'Government Cut' charges, one for a mere 35 cents! What was that for? Considering you had virtually next to nothing in sleep, I hope you didn't drive south back to Champaign! A mere 2hrs away but I would question your ability to stay awake! :) I did spot the abandoned train--looked like one former C&NW coach and a former BN E-unit--Chicago railfan that I am!

BA A321s have more seats than their 787-8s
