Hey Ben, after a day like today I might move way down south. The biggest snowstorm in recent memory is coming to an end here. Over 2 feet here and now windy and cold. Hi i have a 784 which i think is similar engine and design only its bigger. Im not experienced at doing service but id like to try. Question, after u change the diesel filter and u said to bleed them, how do u do that, do u just open the nut on top to let out some diesel, do u need to turn over the engine to pump the diesel through or will it just flow. And lastly do u turn off the diesel flow from the tank or something when u remove the filter, how do u stop the diesel from flying out when u remove the filter, thanks if u can help me out.
@khtractors9 ай бұрын
It should have a valve to shutoff at the tank. As for bleeding them there’s a small screw on top of the filter housing you loosen up. Then turn your fuel back on. I’m thinking on those it runs out until you see pure fuel and no air bubbles. Some engines have a hand primer pump for bleeding but I can’t remember this tractor having that.
@martymartin28949 ай бұрын
@@khtractors thanks your right the 784 doesn't have a hand pump the one u serviced has I think. Theres a small tap on the bottom of the diesel tank at the back of mine I'm sure that must be for turning off the diesel from the tank. Thanks very much for the fast reply. Have a good day.
@martymartin28949 ай бұрын
Hi sorry to bother u again but as I said before I have a 784. With winter coming in I need to put antifreeze in it. Does opening the tap on the radiator release all the water from the radiator and engine block, or is there some separate tap for the engine block thanks very much. I think myself it may be only the one tap hopefully.
@khtractors9 ай бұрын
It’s only the one drain as far as I know. I’m not real experienced with the Internationals. Draining it will not get everything drained from the engine block but probably enough to be safe one filled back with antifreeze.
