The fact that this Video has less than 20K views is Criminal considering it's such a simple fix but SO essential for anyone proficient in SFM. And I'm so Happy that your video was the top search result cause it was So easy to follow and it Helped overcome this stupid lighting limit without a problem for me. Found out something useful for those who may have trouble with this, this may not work with certain launch options such as "-monitortexturesize 1024" & "+mat_antialias 8". So if your SFM is instantly crashing, make sure to check and see if it may be your launch options.

@@Kubui01 they're low poly models created for people with low spec computers, basically you copy the key frames on the animation helper and put them on the original

I've been doing both Blender and SFM. While blender has loads more benefits, it is an absolute pain to use sometimes. Sfm is so flexible for animation tho.

There is now a SFM Max Shadowed Lights Patcher program that does this process automatically btw. either way thanks for the tutorial

I wonder if there's any way to increase the FOV limit. It's 180 in sfm, but if we could increase it to 360 then you could make point lights like in blender by having a lights fov set to 360?

@@EzFM_Films I remember specifically try8jg to set a lights fov to 360 and it didn't let me at all. Highest it would go was 180

You cannot. A light frustum going above 180 degrees would cause it to invert, breaking the light.

I have a question. I resently started sfm and already started a project. But i have problems with sounds. Im trying to animate a song but it wont allow me to use the whole thing in one sitting. So i decided to use audacity to split it into more parts and cut it together. Does someon have tips for me to make it easier? And also on all maps i tried to load. When i try to add the additional entitys (i forgot how they are called) but some of them show errors and i tried multiply times to reinstall them. Can someone help me with both these things?

well, it completely breaks my shadows to where they do not work anymore, loading up more then 7 lights crashes SFM... not sure if I did anything wrong or just doesn't work with an RTX 2070 Super, Ryzen 7 3700X, and 32gb DDR4 3200mz ram...
