yes we do and nobody pays a blind bit of attention to them , same as the flashing beacons no one slows down for them either hence the reasen the work lights are on when working on the road , often the biggest problem when hedge cutting is cars coming towards you as they see you on the other side of the road and think its not there problem and dont bother slowing down , ask anyone doing this sort of thing for a living and they will tell you the same thing

You know, most farmers don't have all their land in one spot. Loads of farmers around here drive many kms to get to some spots of land. It's also quite common for land owners to rent out their land, meaning some company pretty far away comes and farms the land for them

Presuming the camera tractor is carrying signs warning of the hedge trimming ahead? I suspect it’s also blocking the view of the tractor ahead and some of the oncoming traffic. Doesn’t excuse most of these car drivers dangerous actions but I suspect many have been forced to try an ill-timed overtake because they can’t completely see what’s ahead.
@paraffindan3 жыл бұрын
signs all out but are generally ignored by most drivers , basically there for insurance purposes . most cars coming the other way see tractors working on other side of the road and think it doesn't affect them none of these clips were a result of drivers unaware of machines working at the side of the road

This video shows clearly the reluctance of agricultural drivers to pull in and allow other vehicles to pass, thereby creating most of the situations seen here and everywhere that farm vehicles, most without number plates or correct lighting on trailers, can make an absolute dangerous bloody nuisance of themselves . Highway Code: Rule 169 states that motorists should not hold up a long queue of traffic, especially if they are driving a large or slow-moving vehicle. It informs drivers to frequently check their mirrors, and if necessary, pull in where it is safe and let traffic pass. This rule is so well known -- except by farmers apparently I saw one yesterday, in Somerset, with a half - mile queue behind him and a small child on his lap. These idiots should be banned and a far stricter check made on their vehicles in connection with road safety and construction and use regulations.
