Congrats on the 1953 D ender. I found a 1913 S Barber half dollar ender a couple of years ago. That's a once in a lifetime find with it being a key date.

Two weeks ago I found a brand new 1964 quarter in a bank roll of quarters, could not believe it . First silver I have ever found .

Sweet! Sounds like a nice find. Great thing about '64s is they tend to be very nice since that was the last year, but you get one with full chest feather details and brilliant luster, that's all kinds of a keeper. Keep fishing the "waters", there're others hiding out there waiting for us to catch them. >>:=)

Three things: 1) You know how rare a silver quarter ender is? It is rare! Can’t get mad at that, even with multiple skunk boxes! 2) Honestly, I have also been getting blanked on Ws lately. And 3) hey, I found one of those “corner of George’s nose” die chips this week too (at 7:07 )! Only mine is a bit bigger, I think. Happy hunting!

Before I watch this, I'm going to guess a 48-D. Not old as I thought; was guessing based on condition - felt like it was going to be semi-earlier issue. Silver Denver ender, say that 10 times real fast. >>:=p Well, the Ag '53 well covers the 23²¢ loss on the Phillipino Piso at least, so you're still up $4.21⁸ on the box hehe. I have yet to find a W, but I haven't been doing quarter boxes either, save one's hiding in a container of change I hadn't gone through yet. Glad you don't get bummed when it's mostly a no-go hunt; never can give up brother. That quarter you found in the last box, you can mess with people with that one and tell them you have a SUPER rare 65-D quarter. 🤣🤣 You tear your machine rolls for time I'm sure, but I could teach you the method of reusing and hand-rerolling those like as if they never got opened. >>;=) Showed a friend of mine w/ rerolling some halves and he loved it. I will admit penny and dime ones take some finesse.

Nice to get silver. Been not so silvery in my area as of late with only 1-2 silver dimes a box, 1 silver quarter in the past 2 months, half dollars had a good box but now back to normal silver skunk boxes. Nickels don’t even have as much silver as of late.

I think that I plucked my last silver U. S. quarter out of circulation around 1970. But I don’t really look at coins and my eyesight is getting worse. Found a W quarter a few weeks ago, first one that I’ve ever noticed!

I usually get Loomis rolls of pennies. Yesterday I got all N F String wrappers like the old days. 100% zinc pennies. I wonder if the NF string facility has a way of sorting out all the copper or somebody just dumped a whole bunch of zincs in when this batch was made.

I had a large piggy bank full of eagle back quarters and lots of silver that I was given for Christmas by my mom and dad. My wife took the quarters and spent them, I couldn't believe it. Worst part is she didn't need the money she just saw it started ked and sorted and decided that was what I didn't want.

Are these Loomis rolls? Because they claimed that they were going to remove the silver to discourage this kind of thing. The banks pay a premium for rolled coins, which they then sell at face value to their customers and absorb a small loss. Eventually, the coin roll hunters who continually buy boxes at face and then dump the coins at another institution, are just going to drive the prices of the boxes above face value, until it reaches a dollar value where it won't be worth hunting any more.
