Okay easiest way to get the right length for basement is you use the small stairs and place three of them descending each time. So the length of three small stairs = wall height and you can check the height with the object / big stairs with move objects OFF - if they can place then the height is right

I was watching but half distracted and just got to the part where you were talking about the drafting table mod and you said my name, I said out loud (to no one) “hey that’s me!” 😂 love these long form experimental type videos. You have certainly only cemented my fear of the CFE cheat though lol it’s sooo finicky and that combined with my general finickiness about builds is a bad combo. I could never get it to look how I want without tearing my hair out!

Basement tip with no counting- put a wall color with a baseboard on the basement walls. When you see the bottom of the baseboard on the wall, you'll know you're at the right level :)

so smart, thanks for the tip! a lot of times i do that at the end to see if I made the wall too high, but it makes way more sense to have it on the wall from the beginning to use it to track the right height! 💕

ah i'm sorry, that sounds so frustrating! i unfortunately don't have much experience with troubleshooting crashes since (knock on wood) i haven't experienced that problem very much. I found a few posts that maybe could help you and put the links in the description! I know sometimes the 4gb patch doesn't install correctly or stay installed and you might have to check and see whether it actually applied to your game.
