MySims Agents was my favorite game as a kid! I beat the game when I was 7 and then cried for a week because of how it ended. My grandfather and I literally emailed EA asking where the second game was and they emailed back saying Skyheroes was supposed to act as the second game. Still upset about it-

I’m glad I’m not the only one that has thought of a timeline for this series lmao. I’m so happy too that MySims is making a comeback and I hope not only will we get bundles of the others games, but maybe we’ll finally get new games as well! As for Sky Heroes well… The main menu theme is kickass, can’t lie about that.

i always loved how the lore of mysims was pretty solid but also fluid enough that it could change from game to game (like in skyheroes carl said he died in the airbase, whereas he died elsewhere in kingdom and agents). i also love how they confirmed the multiverse in one of agent rosalyn's dispatch quotes where she says she saw an alternate timeline where she was a mayor inviting people back to her town! OH and i also love how the DS games are detached but still connected to the wii games. i always imagined they happened like just outside the kingdom wii map

Yessss I think it’s so fun to try to find all of the little connections!! It also took me a minute to realize Carl’s inconsistencies with how he became a zombie & also how many years he’s been one…once I discovered Rosalyn’s dispatch mission quote I was like OMG!! So fun though I love this series!!

I've always wanted to see a lore vid on MySims, there was so much fun plots and potential. The timeline theory also made some sense, I always did assume they were all AUs but I can get behind your theory! MySims was so underrated. I enjoyed them more than the regular sims games as a kid. I wish we could have gotten more games, like Agents 2 and maybe even new themes. There were also so many fun and interesting characters that are just kinda dead and unused now.. I hope MySims on the switch causes a kind of resurgence and we can finally get actual new content, but I guess we can only hope.

Agents 2 sounded like an amazing story. As a big fan of Agents, I would've loved to play it. Maybe Evelyn's twin sister would've showed up there? Maybe there was an idea to use Madison as a twist, like you rescued Evelyn from the Nightmare Realm but instead of her you saved Madison instead? Which would explain why Walker was upset that you let Morcubus free in that ending?

The games "MySims Racing" and "MySims party were different for the DS! Racing had more gameplay and a town to explore while party was more functional whereas current copies of the wii version are seemingly broken throughout the motion control games (Tried multiple copies, multiple wiis and remotes) PS MySims Kingdom was my hyper-fixation and though now I'm happy to see it being enjoyed; at first I was incredibly gatekeepy over it! 😭😭

My first my sims game was Kingdom, but my favorite was Agents because of the story. I too tried to piece a timeline with Kingdom being the 1st and Sky Heroes being the last, and I ended up saying "it's just a bunch a parallel universes" and called it a day.

Great video ! I loved these games as a kid, particularly agents which was one of my fav games at the time. My favorite part of agents was the ability to recruit so many of the sims you meet in the world and move them into hq, decorate their rooms, and send them on dispatch missions! Since I think the biggest strength of the franchise as a whole was creating a fun and memorable cast of characters, it felt like agents gave you the best opportunity to engage with them through seeing how they handle different situations on dispatch missions! Overall I think there’s so much more that can be done with the franchise and I hope they move forward with a more story and character driven game like agents rather than more racing or mini game focused games like sky heroes (I still remember begging for sky heroes for Xmas, getting it, playing it that night, and never playing again 😂)

I wasn't a kid when I played this. I thought the little girls laugh was cute. I also used to get a kick out of "spook-kane" I live a few hours/half a day depending on the traffic from Spokane, Washington. Edit: I had games like this, as well as a Tamagotchi game, and some other very simple-ish games for a Nintendo D.S., I had trouble with my blood-pressure getting too high, and even my anxiety starting to trigger badly during travel. So these helped

My favorite thing about the MySims games is they're easy for me to put down. They're not over-stimulating and don't have deadlines like many modern games. Even fellow "cozy game" Stardew Valley has deadlines and things you have to do every day in the game. I like that the MySims games are less structured and not stressful at all (except the dang herding tasks 😅). As a mom of two (almost 3 kids), I like games that allow me to relax for a bit, but I'm not tempted to keep playing for hours.

Yes that’s actually such a good point! It’s very relaxed & there’s no rush to try to get on at a certain time to complete any of the tasks. Very laid back! I hope they keep it that way in future games (if we get any 😭)

My favorite pieces of lore about MySims is definitely the ghost lore in MySims Party DS. You know how, once you become friends with a Sim, they become playable in the festivals? So here's the thing. They also become playable OUTSIDE the festivals... sort of. The mirror where you can choose which of your own sims to switch to and run around as ALSO includes the menu listing all Sims that have reached the friends status. So basically, you can run around town as ANYONE, which in of itself has some interesting easter eggs of it's own depending on who you talk to. (Like being Shirley with Nicole and vice versa.) Where does the ghost lore come in? If you talk to Elmira, Ginny, or Nicki while basically being their doppelgangers, all three of them get freaked out and mention ghosts who can COPY SIMS AND CHANGE FORMS HOWEVER THEY LIKE TO PLAY TRICKS ON PEOPLE. LIKE... WHAT??? WHERE DID THIS COME FROM??? AM I A GHOST??? IS THAT WHY I GET TO MAKE SO MANY SIMS IN THAT GAME??? It just raises SO many questions about what your character even IS, not just in Party DS, but all the games in general.

If you do, know that in order to be friends with a Sim in that game, you have to get at least 60 points in their minigame, as well as any little quests they give you inbetween festivals! I also believe those are the only three that mention ghosts, but I could be wrong (I didn't check everyone)

You probably mean MySims Agents on the DS! I've actually looked into this before. If I recall correctly there had apparently been plans to release codes to use on the laptops, but said plans fell through. However, that doesn't mean there aren't codes to put in! You can look them up online, and they will give you outfits you can't buy in the game!

I have to say a few things.... First off, I feel like that plot twist in... the airplane one. Could have been a bit fun (in a better game, I mean what?) If it lead to a branched ending. Stay a hero even after regaining yourself? And feel guilt for your evil actions? Or fall back into villainy, and potentially attempt to backstab Morcubus? And.... Going into Sims 4.... Those My Sims cameos are a bit disappointing, because they look SO LITTLE like their My Sims counterparts. Like.... Yuki is Yuki in Name Only. ....Which is why I gave her, and Candy makeovers with CC. I made Candy BASICALLY her My Sims counterpart. (But, I did keep the pink they added to her hair... the custom hair I used had a blond and pink color.) And Yuki... I tried. I didn't have hair that was 100% accurate, but, I took some inspiration from a concept art. Aged her up. Gave her a shirt that says "Wild Thing", gave her pink eyes, and... fangs. (I didn't make her a vampire, since she's a "self proclamed vampire". A wannabe, in short.) Only thing I did to change their facial structures was make the eyes a bit more like the My Sims counterparts. While being a bit more realistic. That makeover session was fun.... I should find the other cameos, and give them a similar treatment.

Yeah I think that the plot twist in Skyheroes could have definitely been more interesting if the overall game/story was better! & yeah I thought the Sims 4 characters were a bit odd since they really don’t look too much like the MySims characters…what’s the point of having them as cameos if they don’t look like them!?

as someone who Loves MySims Party and, it being the Only MySims game i played till 2020 and i manage to get all the games in the series, DS included, i will say im a fan of skyhero's story but i feel it could have been implimented better, this is esentially a Starfox clone, with even Raphael quoting Wolf when he enters a stage, this is also the first time i sat down and listend to Agents 2's concept, which is, just woof, sad we never got it, fun fact skyheros was unchange for the ds, just removed yuki (rip my beloved vampire gal) and raphael for why i love party, this game was my introduction to MySims and what also Gave me an inspiration to Continue with an OC that has lasted me YEARS, when a time i make a oc and discard them cuz i was bored, the minigames gave more intel on the characters like, we see morcubus USE magic on us to attack, Dr F excited to see us Fail against his robot, and the mini game that didnt need motion controls where fun i feel im going to be the black sheep of fans (Besides liking party and skyheros) is that, i never clicked with Kingdom, and kinda quit at the first island because, well storydriven but also, lacked the creativity like the furnituer buildings we get in OG, i made stuff based on other games that aint pixle art, like Halo's Ghost, a brute chopper, an alien from duke nukem, idk why i didnt like kingdom even if i respect it as a great game, other then that Fantastic video, love every moment with it 1:07:10 thing with robots is that, prototypes are often built separately compared to final versions, think XJ from my life as teenage robot, she has many sisters that where diffrent versions of her, plus we see proto makoto take Tobors place in the ds version of sky heros, whos, bit more ready for a robot uprising

I remember playing the first MySims on my families old computer back in the day and I didn’t know it had its own series Edit: when I was younger I just did whatever I wanted and I didn’t know I had tasks and other stuff to do I was just vibing with no care in the world Editing again: I just realized while watching this video that I played the og game on the Nintendo and along with on the computer cause my brain thought it was two separate things

Yeah I feel like with their rerelease they decided to barely make any changes at all other than the graphics & improving the controls…I feel like if we get a future new MySims game I could see them making that change!
