More than Music: The Ken Abrams Documentary

Ken Abrams retired in 2020 after 36 incredible years of directing the choir program at San Ramon Valley High School in Danville, CA. To celebrate an amazing teacher, mentor, and friend, we organized a choir reunion weekend in June 2022. This documentary film premiered at our June 11, 2022 concert and celebration.

This is a beautiful tribute! Many times I feel, we, as choir directors, teach in our own little "bubble". We just do the work that we know our students deserve and need from us in our choir rooms and that's it. This desire to make the kids better (in every way) is what drives us to do our best everyday. I cannot believe how well this video captures what it is REALLY like to be in choir and what choir truly is all about.
