I think Origins is a great con for your first one! It’s big enough to have all the excitement and energy without being overwhelming like Gen Con can be sometimes. Make sure to say hi if you see me! 😁

@@BeerCityBoardGames stupid question as a first time attendee: I am mainly interested in going to purchase games, rather than attend and events or presentations. I am looking at the schedule and having a hard time determining when that starts. There’s registration hours, exhibit hall hours, and gaming hall hours (per the website). I would like to show up at 7am, if possible. I don’t want to show up at 7am, and then wait until 10am to do anything. Any clarification?

@oneysnyder2116 The vendor hall doesn’t open until 10am each day. If you plan on getting there earlier, the gaming hall opens at 8am and the game library opens at 9am. The vendor hall isn’t nearly as overwhelming as GenCon and we find we don’t have any trouble getting through the entire hall getting in when it opens.

@oneysnyder2116 Mainly just a lot of tables available to play games. I’d also recommend checking out the Origins Virtual Flea Market on BGG if you’re looking to find some good deals on games. 👍
