More Touch and Go's in my Aerotrek A220 Taildragger

Preflight, start up, taxi, run up, takeoff, and a bunch of touch and go's in my Tweety Bird Aerotrek A220. After the last one, we taxi to the hangar and shut down. This was all filmed at KCMA (Camarillo, CA) airport.

How funny: I was fiddling with the Bell 47 behind your airplane in the hangar this evening: saw your plane, walked around your plane, thought your plane was cool, came home, looked up Aerotrek on KZbin, clicked this video and boom: the exact airplane I was looking at :D Small world. I'm curious: why does the throttle twist *and* push/pull?

Small world indeed, and I hope to meet you soon. I think the throttle turns in order to make fine adjustments easier. Seems like a little push goes a long way.

I like this plane wish I bought one a few years ago when they were cheaper I think they started out at $89k, then $99k now up to $115k Little too much to sell the idea to my wife. Oh well I'm stuck with ultralight planes looking at a chinook 2 stroke. What kind cruise do you get with this they kind of look like a kitfox.

@curtster1962 can you give me your opinion. I am 6'6" tall and very slender. 190 lbs. Do you think I can make my height work to fly and own the A220? I appreciate your help.

I took a pilot friend for a ride recently, and he’s about your size, I’d guess. He made it work, but it looked tight to me! Definitely need to find one to try on for size before you put your money down.
