I love using vellum as a "shadow" behind sentiments on busier backgrounds, because it helps you see the sentiment, but the translucency means you can still see the background

Laurel, THANK YOU SO MUCH for your tips and tricks. It is nice to get ideas of what to use from our craft stash and not needing to go buy the newest die or stamp. I recently watched a different designers video and they commented that they get almost everything for free...not saying that's bad as it is their business, but for us "hobby crafters", we may not have unlimited funds to buy the newest products. You and your videos definitely have become a new favorite! Thanks again from a fan in ND.

Great video and ideas! One of my favorite ways to use vellum is with butterfly stamp and die sets. Depending on the stamp set, I stamp it directly on the card base or panel with colored ink or stamp it in black and then color it. I die cut the coordinating butterfly image out of vellum, adhere it over the stamped image just along the body and slightly bend up the vellum wings.

Thank you Laurel for this video. I love vellum and your pre-made panels are beautiful with the vellum. I use it when I have too much colour and sometimes the image is stamped snd coloured on the vellum. I love your alcohol vellum with the hot pink cardstock underneath. It is a definite WOW card. ❤️🇨🇦❤️

Great video for many reasons. Well executed with clear concise instructions. Creative ways to use vellum. And who doesn't have a boat load of backgrounds just sitting around? The reflection technique can be used with so many different stamps. Using the vellum in place of clear acetate in the shaker results in much softer effect and is such a great idea. Thanks for all of this.

Love the use of velum and thanks so much for the lovely ideas in this video - now I know what to do with my stash and how to stick it down without showing glue or thin double sided tape…obvious once you know 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️ A little aside …how do folk keep their tubes of glue that dont have lids from going hard .. I used a pin in one but it started going rusty and coloured my glue …thanks for any tips

I have been on the hunt for videos that show interesting ways to use distress oxide sprays. I find it too too chalky and have not been successful at all. I have loads of it just sitting on the shelf. Also, would you consider doing something with the Simon Hurley Lunar Pastes? I don't see a lot with those either. Thanks for the great idea. My son said I should try your technique with one of my snowmen stamps. :-)
