The inking / art work on the first card is gorgeous, however -- and I don't mean to "dis" the project, BUT ... Is it my imagination? OR is that stamp's "far shore" actually FORWARD in the "picture"?? It looks like it cuts a swath across the trunks of the trees!!
@rtd17912 жыл бұрын
I think the effect is due to the way she inked the individual elements of the stamp. I looked at pictures of the stamp and it definitely has the tree trunks in the foreground.
@kdgowdy2 жыл бұрын
Yup I saw that too and can’t unsee it!
@amkarei2 жыл бұрын
@@kdgowdy And it's no reflection on Laurel. The stamp is intricate enough that you'd not notice the designer's "oops" until you bought and USED the thing!! Anyway, I'm sure that anyone who receives this card from her will be thrilled that her beautiful efforts came to them.

Alot of sunset pics have been altered with the saturation enhanced. OR taken near forest fires that add the the color (at least here in the west).

Laurel, wasn't it like "bend, look, SNAP" or something like that, cracked me up thinking about that! Annnnyway, saddest thing ever to know you've not seen a sunset with the pinks, purples & oranges. If I get a minute I'll go through my pics & see if I can find you some from my backyard & I'll email them to you. Girl, at some point in your life you gotta go & live that, you're an artist, you should have that in your brain!! Love this technique, XOXO 😘 There you go, from the top of a hill in West Virginia, XOXO I don't think I'll take it for granted as much now knowing you haven't/can't see it like I do.

Since you are ironing off the embossing powder, you actually COULD use archival inks, since anything stuck on top of the powder ends up coming off when you iron off the powder. I actually made a really cool set of cards that I made by embossing a background stamp, then airbrushing alcohol ink over the top and when I ironed off the powder, I ended up with two backgrounds. it was a VERY happy ACCIDENT 😊
