I dig that water. Didn't know what to expect. It looks versatile, I run Overdrive with hexes (blasphemy I know), and it should be a good addition to my boards.

No blasphemy in Override! For the fans by the fans. Just don’t add side torsos. Then we may have to send ROM agents….

All I can say before watching this vid: A fried recently gave me his ender 3 pro. That granpa of a printer can still achive great results as most Thunderhead studio stuff (at least the ones I bought, I think a few mechs are made for low tech resin printers) is build with this machine in mind. So Im not in need of the pre fabricated stuff but I cant pass on a chance to hype up thunderhead studio designs and their work albeit its still nice to know everything fits in if I wanted to. I tend to build "diorama-style tables" but with the prints I could mirror all the terrain pieces to get even more bang out of my buck or combine everything in different ways if I would change my ways. Combine this with "differently expensive" ready out of the box stuff and I think we have something for everyone. Really like the Thunderhead stuff If you couldnt tell by now. Pro tip: If you're looking for their free stuff check multiple sites as different sites have different freebies! I think its different "era's" of thunderhead but everything still fits so Im all for it. PS: I wanna be the traffic cop piloting a battlemaster, that might be overkill lol

I'm happy that we now have a set that will join the Highways set to the smaller Roads set. I'm going to need a bigger map! 😂

Great video! Great looking terrain. Any chance of a Somerset Strikers pack review soon? Looking forward to more videos and updates.

I got another two packs of hills on their way from GF9. I'm not sold on doing the whole city setup with them yet, with roads and buildings, that's a big investment.

Good video. I like these but I'm pretty vested in 1.5 inch hexes or none at all. I need a 3D printer like- yesterday. If it exists as a complete product Thunderhead is selling the STLs somewhere and I can print a magnified version. I'm currently using the old JR minis rivers on Geo-Hex Battlescape but I need more and they're OOP. I might make a mold and just make more but that's a hassle to do right. I'm using strips of gray foam sheeting and made a jig to paint even lines on them for the roads. Good 3D Rivers and roads have been kind of a tough area to figure out for me.

The "land of a thousand lakes" is Finland although it has about 188,000 lakes. Minnesota is the "land of 10,000 lakes".

I'm thinking about buying me two of those river sets for my Battletech:Override battlefields... but they really look a bit on the small side.

I used to play 3d terrain on dinner table sized battles, and yes they were really fun to play company+ sized battles on. I think 3 or 4 of those river kits would be needed for elaborate river ways or even a battle on a delta.

That water terrain look kinda cheap ill be passing on that

They look like quality stuff, even if they're not really for a 3D board like their buildings and other structures are. Now, lets get onto raiding the 401k's!
@screenmonkey11 күн бұрын
How are these not for 3d boards. rivers, lakes and roads are flat, the building and hills from the range are really nice.
@HouseMasterPoDing11 күн бұрын
@@screenmonkey You're taking me far to literally. I don't mean that they lack a third dimension, I mean they are scaled incorrectly for a 3D board.tiny little half-inch rivers are not really going to come through on a 3D miniatures board as anything but an afterthought. I agree with you on the quality of their products though, top notch.
