Hello Jason. I live in Australia and have been watching your channel for a 18 months or so and really like it. I used the skills you taught me when we visited Wales in June ‘22. In Dinas Mawddwy we stayed overnight at the Llew Coch Inn and when I was served my dinner I thanked the man in Welsh,and more importantly I understood when he replied “Croeso”. It was a great moment for me and I used my limited knowledge of Welsh for the time I was there. Diolch yn fawr Jason. PS I intend to keep learning.

I enjoy your videos. The dog I'm getting in a few months, I am training in Welsh. From my list, "come" is "dod" (long O). "come here" is "dod yma". Although, dog commands should be their name and a single word, so it would be simply "Cysgod. Dod" When would you use "dod"?

How do I choose which dialect, North or South, of Welsh to learn? Or should I just learn both?

Chose the one that makes the most sense for you. For example: If you live in South Wales then chose the South Wales dialect. If you holiday a lot in North Wales or your family are from there then choose the North Wales dialect.
