More work on the oil burner tank and trip to Deere dealer

Bill I worked at GSW Water heaters in Fergus for 26 years up until last year. I have built many things out of water tanks. Your burner project is not being used for heat source so if you make the chimney come out of the top just like a gas water heater it will not build up un-burnt gasses inside and their will still be a ton of heat to burn the oil. I have a few goodies for you if you wish. Message me for details. And keep up the good work.

For your exhaust you should go out the top because with the curve at the top of your oil burner all of the fumes will go the easiest way out witch is at the top. And because there is a curve on the top of your oil burner it will also act like a funnel so all of the fumes go out the exhaust pipe. So go out the top and NOT out the back. And keep making videos, I love them. :)

Great video Bill on the door of the tank make the top dowee a handle & the hole an inspection window not sure about the air vent if you bring it out the side you may have to make some kind of support to take the weight of the pipe. I bet Mrs Tmass wasn't happy with Dilly getting all those bullets

Bill, you need to be very careful showing where you store all of your bikes and the keys. In the UK no matter where you live the thieves would find them and steal them. Be cautious. I had a bike stolen years ago and lost allot of money. I was so upset and wouldn't wish it on anyone.

If you vent out the top all your heat will go with it. Out the back will keep more heat in the shop.

He's not trying to heat anything with it. He's just trying to burn off the oil as cleanly as he can so he doesn't have to take it all somewhere to have it "recycled".

In order to burn cleanly you have to retain heat. Think of it like a engine. A cool engine will not burn fuel completely.

Hey Bill just so you know that JD 4720 tractor could be used for mowing if you hooked up a tow behind PTO powered mower

You don't have to take the backhoe off that 1025r tractor to use the mower. It has the AutoConnect system, so you just drive over the deck and away you go. You wouldn't need to mess around with taking stuff on and off to use other things with it unless you needed a 3pt hitch attachment.

For some reason I think you'd get better pressure inside the tank if the exhaust pipe went out the side and up. More of a restriction I guess but in a good way.

Bill, sand or grind the galvanized / zinc coating off any metal before you weld it buddy, the fumes off it are really toxic and will make you sick. Best wishes to you my friend

Deff need to "burn it off" as they say outside in the fresh air, to burn off the galvanizing. Welding and cutting it is not good either for the lungs.

I'll have to check and see if anyone can explain the M & R's, other than that is the letter someone decided to use on that series. On the 5000 we use the E for Economy line and M for the upgrade version, which you can get a Standard, Cab Plus, Deluxe Cab, and coming soon, Think we'll start building them in Dec., the new Premium Cab. There is also the ML, low profile. MH- High profile, EN or narrow cab. There is also, for overseas, the MU and MT. On most of the different tractors you and look at the last 2 or 3 numbers and find out what the horse power is for that model. ie ML-5115 is 115 horsepower.
