Carl, take it from someone who hates running but has been doing it for over 10 years - I always feel better for it, even though I've never really experienced the so-called runner's high. The trick is get comfortable kit (lightweight tops and shorts, good socks and decent trainers, but don't get sucked into the whole gait analysis thing - if they're comfy then you're good). I do get a bit obsessed about my times, but mostly I enter 10k trail races because I like medals. I'm usually near the back, but the race is against myself, not the stick thin whippets doing half my time. But the main thing is it clears my head. I've only been able to do one week's running in the last 5 thanks to a stinking cold and then an injury - unrelated to running - and although the gym is good, I'm missing the running more than I ever imagined I would before I got into it. Lost my job this week, out of the blue, but I'm pretty sure I'm good to start running again, so it'll let me keep my head in shape and not panic. I'll get another job soon enough, and until I do, there's running. And a 10k trail race on new year's eve to look forward to! Keep at it bro.

I've recently come to realise the Dr was right too :) and that the stigma around having autism etc is lessening in general the more that is being learned. The growing awareness and understanding around it is amazing. As is the growing research into female autism, and how can present differently :) and how autism in general can vary so much from person to person and is not always like in the films!

@@more_fishwithcarl 100%, when I first heard a Dr say it I had flashbacks to the movie Rain man and was like that is totally not me this guy is out of his mind.. however since then we did a ton of research and have a better understanding of it now, and for me with some unknown masking I just thought I was a bit introverted, a diagnosis isn’t a magic switch but it does help you understand why you are the way you are at times and that its perfectly fine..anyways keep up with the amazing content and I will keep binging it👍🏻 all the best from me and my son Josh we watch you together all the time

Exactly that, moved me to hear this - this is why it's so good to share. It comes in varying forms and presentations, and differs if mixed with adhd too. The process of unmasking can take time, Omi is on that Journey too. Yes, for sure, re diagnosis - just knowing what it is can make all the difference. Just being able to get on with life with better understanding and self-compassion :) Means a lot to have this chat mate, all the very best to you and Josh!! ❤

this lake is a few miles away from me i always fish for chub on the river behind it had a 5 and a half pounder last week. im up there every other week i must have missed you by a few days ive been watching you and your brother for 5 years now love the content. never had the gear to have a proper session on the lake though

I lived walking distance from the park lake as you call it, had some of the most amazing times fishing it and the amount of great water to fish close by ot can't be beaten. Having around 8 or mote lakes within 5 miles or so of each other is a fisherman's dream

There is a abandoned quarry down in Cornwall near Redruth Called carnmarth big lake and a small lake not owned by anyone , got bream carp roach and Rudd and the odd giant goldfish I think it’d suit your kind of videos massively

I used to! And loved it. However tending the plants and cleaning algae off of ornaments got that bit too much as things got busier in life. Since decommissioning the tropical tank I found having a very minimal/zen tank much more calming - I love goldfish too! It's been nice to enjoy having them again :)

My eye is fine actually, scratching it is just something I do when nervous. before the eye scratch thing I used to pull on the bottom of my right ear, before that id sharply move my head to the right. When people begin to notice the 'thing' I normally try to stop doing it and then another weird thing appears. haha kinda weird .
