“This is a process, we need to trust it, give the manager more time”, the players aren’t good enough” a certain section of deluded Manchester United fans have been saying this for 10 years, it doesn’t matter what players they sign, who their manager is, what team they’re playing against, where they play etc as they’re going through the same problems and they’re absolutely mediocre. I can’t blame everything on Erik ten Hag which is understandable, but whether people like it or not, he does need to be held to a high standard for their struggles considering the fact that he spent a lot of money on the players that he wanted and has had the most backing out of any manager that they’ve had and yet with every passing season, despite being in his 3rd year of his project, they have gotten worse and have shown no signs of progress and I think that people need to stop making different excuses for them because it’s the same thing every year and it’s ridiculous. Right now with every huge defeat that they suffer, he’s closer to inevitably getting sacked as even after they won the FA Cup, I knew that sooner or later this was going to eventually happen to ten Hag and as great as it is to win trophies at the highest level, the ability or a manager should be judged based off of their league position as its middle about longevity and being consistent for a certain period of time, not a domestic cup especially for a club of Manchester United’s size that spend a lot of money, unfortunately their mediocrity in recent years has meant that their standards have consistently reduced and their fans only gas up the team when they win an energy cup. They have gotten worse in the premier league and they’ve had a nightmare start to the season as after 7 games, they’ve won 2 games, if we exclude their win against a relegation threatened Southampton team, they’ve won 1 game and it’s. It just their lack of wins, they’re barely scoring goals and how do we expect them to win games when they’re not scoring enough. The way in which Tottenham dominated them at home is another prime example of how the current state of this football club is in absolute crisis as there were moments where they didn’t have any passage of play and they weren’t able to regularly move the ball and at the highest level and on any given day they would’ve conceded more goals, that’s unacceptable for a club of their size and it’s very clear that they’re one of the worst coached teams in the Premier League as they don’t have any organization or cohesion about the way they play. People want to keep making excuses for him knowing full well that it won’t cover up for all of their problems. Tottenham are a good team, but it’s not like they’re that good and just like every other team, they made Old Trafford a playground, how many times have we said that about them. With all due respect to ten Hag, a sign that he’s out of his depth at Man United is when majority of his signings have been players that he worked with at Ajax and most of them haven’t worked out and yet he keeps signing them. We’ve watched ten Hag ball for 3 years and despite spending over 600 million on players during this period and they still don’t have an actual style of football and the team doesn’t have an identity there’s no passion or desire, all I see is a bunch of mercenaries who are playing for themselves and are happy for a check as they don’t look interested on the pitch and you can tell that they’re not enjoying their football. Once again, they’re in a situation where they have no choice but to sack ten Hag and they obviously have to make a change as nothing is working for them even though they can’t keep going through this cycle where managers are coming in and out and on the market, they should have a manager who can come in and resolve everything although that’s easier said than done especially on this current Manchester United team.

How has that been going? Terrible. We’ve finally hit a point under this manager where we’re playing a positive style of football, except for one crucial piece of the puzzle… converting our chances. What other top Premier League side had a similar fan response to a new manager recently? That’s right! Arsenal. When Mikel Arteta took over after Unai Emery, the Arsenal fans were chanting, SCREAMING the words “Arteta out!” in his third year, but what happened? The owners stuck with him, and then we had the 22/23 season. Out of nowhere, Arsenal were title contenders right up until the very end. Then came 23/24, and what happened then? Back to back title pushes from the gunners, and this time they only lost by ONE point! Are you picking up what I’m putting down? Football is a fickle game, but if you simply stick to your man and allow for all of the old to go out, and your current boss to bring in the new, you’ll finally start to see change. This is year three, and we’re finally starting to see the foundations of Ten Hag’s style of play. And let me tell you… it’s exciting to watch. The only piece of the puzzle we’re missing is a much more clinical finish to our patterns of play. Once we can more consistently and convincingly put the ball in the back of the net, you’ll see an entirely new United side. We’re right there, we can’t just throw it all away because of the impatience from some fans who lack enough ball knowledge to see the leaps and bounds of progress that was just made over ONE summer with Ten Hag and INEOS.
