Why did you get a new regulator and manifold ? The double ended duotight connectors go on barbs and you can get ball connectors with duotight fittings moulde in from kegland , could've saved a lol of money there !

Very nice! A couple of connections there I didn’t know about and wish I had selected when creating my own. I just use a regular 90 elbow with a shorty piece of line in my shank, didn’t know those elbows existed. I’m might have to place another order for more goodies! I will say if you are going the route of Duotight, spend the extra dollar or two for the Duotight QDs. Less connection points for less chances of leak.

I have found that the D coupler ball lock adapter causes foamy beer.

I guess for initial build, this system is great. I just clean my lines after I empty the keg, you know, don't be lazy!

The EVA 4mm tubing as you can cut down the beer line length.

Did you mention how long your gas and beer lines are? How long do they need to be to pour correctly?
@nathanphillips5156 Жыл бұрын
Re check valves, you said the shut off valves on the manifold already had check valves. How about putting the check valves at the quick connects to completely prevent beer from backing up into gas lines at all?

This.

Do you use ptfe tape between the flared manifold ball valves and the plastic duotight thread to push connectors? hanks
@AM2PMReviews10 ай бұрын
okay so to do a gas line from the regulator to ball lock I would need 8mm duotight stuff and a check valve. Im a little confused lol.

I used the EVA Barrier 8MM hose & every Duotight fitting shown in this video. Instead of the KOMOS manifold on my 4 keg kegerator, I installed the Kegland secondary regulators. Now I can adjust each keg pressure to my liking. I also swapped the analog gauges for the digital gauges on the regulators. Easy to swap out and with the back lighting it is very easy to read.

Should I use plumbers tape ?
@PatrickBuckles Жыл бұрын
Great video! I just got my first kegorator. it's used so I want to redo all the hosing, etc. I will be using this vid as a guide and getting all the duotight stuff. I am extremely new at kegging, but everything I've seen on cleaning beer lines talk about backflushing cleaner in place with pumps etc. I'm assuming with how easy these go in and out of the duotights, that I should be able to just take the lines out and clean them without that hassle and just use Beer Line Cleaner and then Starsan in a side bucket? Thanks!

I'm wanting to build a keezer. What's the best way to clean your line's, and how much beer is in one of those kegs?

You had screw on jubilee clamps, so there is no need to cut lines. Just unscrew clamp !

Do you offer all of this as a kit so one doesn’t need to search for all the parts?
@MoreBeer_ Жыл бұрын
We do not offer this as a kit because it was built to the specs of Patrick’s Keezer, but all the parts are included with links in the video description!

Used duo tight fittings the I first built my keezer. Worked great until I had to remove them for cleaning. Taking them off is a complete nightmare, despite manufacturer's claims. Will never use them again.

Nice video. But it always shocks me to see Duotight content not covering the major aspects of how they work so you don’t run into a leak. 1. Make sure the Evabarrier tubing is cut at a flush 90 degree angle. 2. Push the tubing ALL THE WAY into the Duotight fitting. It has “two clicks”. Also, a little StarSan helps them push in easier. No need for KegLube here. 3. When connecting threaded Duotight fittings to any threads, hand tighten and then give it a quarter to half turn with a wrench. No more than that or the Duotight could crack. ALSO, no thread tape is required in this installation. I really wish Kegland would address the importance of these aspects with this system in their videos or included with these items. I LOVE mine and have had no problems because I understand how to use them. However, there has to be some documentation on how to use them properly. The amount of people I see online who run into leaking problems and swear them off is astonishing, simple because they’re not using them the right way.

Thanks for the heads up... been struggling with getting the gas lines fully seated - seem to need more force than I can easily apply. Will do a little starsan.

His lines are way too long. One of the big selling points is the smaller diameter needs less length. Most of my lines are under 3 feet and work well.
