I went to Argentina with a friend and went to a bbq restaurant and ordered what I think was called a parrillada for 2 thinking we would get different cuts of steak and ribs etc. The guy just brought out what looked like Sonny's plate at 10:04 but a little bigger. It was all organs and blood sausage. We thought it was weird, but we ate it and just as we were getting full and about to finish, they brought out a second bigger plate with all the meat cuts. I don't know how we finished everything but we did and waddled back to the hotel and went to bed at 6pm. It was like $25 for the parrillada and two bottles of wine.

I was at Siga la Vaca in Puerto Madero (one of the poshest parts of BA if not THE poshest) in 2009 , it looks like it hasnt changed a bit. 1) salsa criolla goes best with bondiola (the boneless pork shoulder) 2) It is vinagreta on the tongue /lengua not salsa criolla (which has more brine) 3) Some chimichurri is green (not to be confused with provenzal which is just parsley, garlic and oil) , others red, the red one is more from the northwest part of the country . 4) Asado de tira used to be thrown away hence the name. They used to kill the cows and export the hids and good cuts , first salted during 1st part of the 1800s , later refrigerated or canned. They used to throw out (or tirar in spanish) the short rib strips. So workers would wrap it around themselves like belts and walk out with it and grill it. 5) You should watch "Todo sobre el asado" on net flix , if you reaaally want to learn about Argentine asado 6) The meat-zza is matambre ala pizza. Inflation makes everything more expensive for us and cheaper for the foreigner
@SantiagoJRodriguez15 ай бұрын
If a piece of meat costs lets say 10 dollars and for us is 10 thousand pesos argentinos and inflation kicks in, the price in dollars is still 10 dollars but those ten dollars are now worth for example 20 thousand pesos argentinos because the peso is more worthless than before. The dollar is more stable than the peso and the price don't change in that currency, it changes for us. If you're from the us and argentina is cheap for you today is going to be cheap for you tomorrow despite inflation

@@SantiagoJRodriguez1 I see, thanks for the clairifcation. Does that mean for a native argentinian, this place would be a luxurious meal then? Or do some Argentinians get paid in US dollars instead now because of the high inflation of the pesos?
@NKDGG5 ай бұрын
@@rikachiu Technically it's not THAT expensive. there is places even more expensive but the current situation is rough. I'd say the biggest crisis in history. About salaries, everyone get paid in pesos. Of course there is a big amount of people that works remote to the outside and have a USD salary, but even now food prices, some services, almost everything are higher than europe rn.

Better take advantage of Argentina’s ridiculous inflation. Not to diss/insult on the poor Argentinians suffering from the stupidity of their politicians.

Hi! I'm from Argentina, i don't know how you prepare "Chittlins" but i'd like to know. Here, we usually eat them like in the video, from the animal to the grill, we don't boil them, nor fill them with anything, we just eat it with the "original" filling (whateaver the cow has been eating) xD

He was kidding. OCB does not use high quality ingredients like glue and cardboard.
