The first "cheap" buffet is actually a charity food bank donated by nearby Buddhist temples and believers. They ask for a small amount of money to keep people's dignity and to make people feel they are paying for their food. But that pricing can hardly pay for the salaries of the staff, not to say the food. So, if one is in real difficulty, one can walk in, say the Buddhist prayer, and have some free food. All of those Buddhist background "charity restaurants" will be more than happy to feed people in need.

The first buffet place is cheap because the costs is subsidized by the temple donations. They are trying to provide to the locals who are Buddhist a place to gather and eat. The 2nd place is a good price considering the variety of food options and expensive and exotic ingredients. That’s hard to find it anywhere else outside of China.

Definitely a staple for the locals 2nd looked amazing for the value and the price you pay you get A LOT, the sea food looked incredible and there is so much choice. Service was amazing with people coming to your table to prepare the fresh sea food. Definitely both incredible value buffets

Chinese buddhist vegetarian(often vegan, sometimes not) foods are amazing, and has been developing for over a millenia, and there's regional differences just as normal meat-inclusive regional cuisines. 7:10 This noodle with tire pattern is called "dried tofu" or "dried tofu" in Chinese. Essentially, it is a type of tofu that has been compressed to make it more compact and elastic. The special pattern on it is the texture of a cushion cloth. During the compaction process, a cushion cloth needs to be placed between each layer of tofu. This cushion cloth is similar to the traditional thick medical bandage gauze, and these textures are produced during the compression process. It's not for the sake of aesthetics.

The Buddhist vegetarian buffet even in the Unite States are at affordable prices as well, you just need to know where to find them, they are usually located in temples. I remembered going to the temple buffet in Dallas, Taxes, 20 years ago ,the buffet is approximately 5 bucks. Now it might charge more but I believe it’ll still relatively cheap compared to average American dining
