Morecambe FC warn of CATASTROPHIC outcome if the club doesn't find a buyer

Plans for an independent regulator for football have been put on hold because of the general election.
Morecambe FC is one club that could be on the brink of going bust after being up for sale for almost two years without a potential buyer.

even at tier7/8 non league level the wages can be several thousand pounds a week. This is the trouble when top players get multimillion pound a year deals players lower down expect their pay to be proportional and teams need owners who can afford to pour money into the club to sustain it. Thats why the likes of Marske,Nuneaton borough and coalville couldn't continue and it's always sad for the fans.

Morecambe have always been a non-League club, with fewer than a couple of thousand fans, swimming waters against much bigger fish. Getting into the League was a poisoned chalice.

The problem with Morecambe is it is a dying seaside town full of smack heads and benefit cast offs from other towns the Eden project will not make any difference to the area also there are lots of other football clubs locally that people follow and as for Tyson Fury putting any money in the club not a chance in hell that fellar changes like the weather and Morecambe certainly gets a lot of the crap weather

It's time football was taken out of the financial hub of billionaire owners, and given back to the Clubs, the people, the fans. When you can earn a million a week to play, there's no incentive to play for the clubs.
