Man I genuinely don't know where they find so many of these weird creepy dudes to staff these call centers with severe anger issues. Like they seem to all try hitting on you or saying they are your son like that's not an insane thing for a random dude you've literally never met before to do on the phone. I can't imagine that actually working on anybody, but maybe it's just that it would creep me out immediately. Then they literally melt down at the slightest thing like they should just be allowed to steal your money with zero effort.

My favorite characters are the elderly ones that act like they can't be bothered by all the silly threats and manipulations and just keep doing their own thing hour after hour, day after day. I know why sometimes he plays the scared or intimidated role, but I don't like giving those scammers even one minute when they feel like they can scare anyone; to me it is better to go along with their ridiculous schemes but with the attitude/RP that nothing they say or do really matters.

You've got to appreciate how, as time goes on hour-by-hour, it gets exponentially more difficult for our boy Kit to maintain continuity and keep track of _everything_ within a single narrative as it balloons wildly out of control: Names he's dropped; anecdotes he's told; fictitious relatives/characters/locations; scammers spoken to & their temperament; each scammer's knowledge of different parts of the canon; power-moves & trap cards deployed/redeemed; timelines; bank accounts & their respective balances; his current persona's blindspots, quirks, technical limitations; phone numbers; emails; VM snapshots and even the goddamn desktop wallpapers. As fun as it appears to be, that still must require some serious concentration & dedication, and every hour must increase that by a factor of 10 or something. I tip my hat, bro. Seriously impressive 🤜

@@ConnieGMK the increasingly bizarre behaviors of the Kitboga characters; victims who redeem gift cards (which is weird enough), but then continue to redeem the cards after being explicitly instructed to stop doing it; victims who always have an excuse or interruption for why they can’t/won’t just read the card numbers over the phone; victims who ask scammers to sing a song or do a rap battle or write the victim a poem and then read it out; there are tons of obvious signs when you think about it, but once the scammer is baited then they are either much more prone to overlook these signs or are unable to recognize them for what they are

@@StarryMysts I can't remember what the video title is, but Kit was playing a grandma character and at some point ended up speaking to an "Officer Mary" who was supposedly investigating his identity being stolen/SSN being suspended/whatever the specific scam was. The main scammer kept trying to get Kit to hurry up and go along with the script, but Kit kept finding excuses to insist they speak to Officer Mary again throughout the call, which the main guy was NOT happy about.

What would you recommend for us novice scam baiters? My only accomplishments were a few years ago, I kept an IRS/Social Security scammer on the line for 3 or 4 hours between my college classes, culminating in me sending them a picture of $50,000 in a duffel bag with "nice try, scammer!" over it. The other time, I called a center over 100 times because they couldn't block numbers for an Amazon support scam center and said "Helloooo!" In the same voice every time it automatically connected to one of their phones.
