@@vn8600 The scam industry has a revolving door for entry level phone operators. Only the owners and managers are around long enough to be aware. With someone as skilled as Kit who knows how to push them to the edge with his shenanigans and then pull back when he senses he is losing them, they reach a point of cost sunk fallacy. They have invested so much time they can't allow themselves to quit. Especially if he has introduced a persona who is also a scammer. It makes them think they are just missing out. Also, in this case the saga is from 2019 when scambaiting wasn't as well known.

Was just in CVS to buy a gift card for my nephew. And I noticed a message popped up when I went to swipe my debit card basically telling people to never share gift card numbers with anyone else and something about fraud. So I told the cashier about kitboga’s channel and now the message made me think of his content. And sure enough,she said an old lady came in the other day trying to buy 25k in gift cards. Shout out to Kit and the other scam baiters doing what they do.

@@teeflight2 Thing is, by 2020 they started to get wise to scambaiters, not kitboga or any in particular, just that there were some people using voice changing devices who were pretending to be old women/men over 60 that made it really painful and none of them these days have the patience to do this, knowing that when things can get a bit too unfamiliar and painful (I sometimes sympathized, until I shook it off, because kit could be so damn awful, pure torture when the person doesn't understand anything and has a problem entering in a website without it taking 45 minutes for them to download AnyDesk. And speaking of AnyDesk, the CEO is about kit's age, and he worked with kit and a few other big scambaiters where they got so many entire scam groups banned off AnyDesk that the tool some used, not kit, but most other scambaiters who tend to be a bit more ethical hackers types after gaining some experience with time wasting and ending up with bank account removed from their databases anyways, the scene kind of changed since then. There is still old school scambaits going on but its more rare to find the poor souls both figuratively and pejoratively that manage to have the patience to deal with a "customer" like this for hours on end and end up with nothing are getting more rare.
