I’ve watched this video a couple times now and am just so impressed. The story of your family, showing how you harvest, the original music (I’d listen to it all day while working btw), the creative bushcraft and camp setup…. So amazing and incredible to watch. This is like a modern version of one of those 1940s black and white lumberjack films on how real men worked. Your future generations will look back at this and be so amazed and proud of where they came from. Keep releasing all the videos you can. I love your channel and am dumbfounded you don’t have 1 million subscribers already!

Thank you. We take pride in our camps, we try to leave no trace when we leave. It's been a life long learning experience in how to use local resources blended with modern equipment. We are very environmentally conscious so we hope that is shown in our camps.

This is the dream. I know its a lot of work, but wow. My grandfather foraged for survival, and now I forage as a hobby (thanks wal-mart). I feel spoiled watching this. Going out to find 20 blondes doesn't sound so nice now lol. Great content! Thanks for sharing!

Hi Jared, My grandfather was also a forager - it's a great activity that brings our family together. 20 blondes is a great day, especially if they aren't burn morels. Happy to share, more to come over the next year!

What a great adventure.I remember the Tibet lake burn .it was my first taste of morels.delicious healthy food from nature.I live in Yellowknife at that time. Now I’m in grande cache and in the spring we search for naturals and find quite a few for our own eating pleasure.this year we are taking vacation time in may. And venturing in some burned areas for the first time. Very excited. I’ve learned a great deal from your videos .I’d love to find some greys ,blonds and greens for own personal enjoyment.it’s almost time 👍❤️

They last for a long time and they rehydrate incredibly well. They are one of the only mushrooms that don’t lose their texture while rehydrating, so by drying, we can stockpile and stay in the bush for longer. Planning to have a video in the future to show rehydrating and cooking them. 👍

..Has the Canadian Government attempted to license your activities?...as they would salmon fishermen?...

It is not comparable to fisheries because unlike fishing, we are not harvesting the organism itself. Randy has actually worked with the government and many first nations in Northern Canada.
