That "15 hour lifespan" comment was a reference to a single battlefield on a single world. If you factor in all guard regiments on all imperial worlds then the average lifespan of a guardsman is about 21 years

@@Multiyuppp I'm also talking about combat experience. If you factor in every battlefield across every world the lifespan of the average guardsman is 21 years. There are trillions of guardsman, it's by far the most powerful force fielded by the imperium, if the average combat lifespan was 15 hours the imperium would be completely wiped out in a matter of weeks because they'd be losing people faster than they can birth new ones. But instead, the imperium is expanding. That "15 hour" quote was referring to a single battlefield on one particularly deadly world

In the majority of cases, being a serf is far better than you think. Sure they need to clean stuff and have to serve the space Marines in battle too, in the majority of cases, you are having a real normal life, getting good food and water and a good amount of rest plus you can party and feast if a chapter wins a battle and/or war. In my case, I would rather be a serf.
