BlackRock and other asset managers are profiting off of every aspect of your life. It's not a conspiracy - it's an open restructuring of society.
-----
More Perfect Union’s mission is to build power for working people. Here’s what that means:
We report on the real struggles and challenges of the working class from a working-class perspective, and we attempt to connect those problems to potential solutions.
We report on the abuses and wrongdoing of corporate power, and we seek to hold accountable the ultra-rich who have too much power over America’s political and economic systems.
Thank you to Benjamin Braun and Adrienne Buller for their reporting on BlackRock and research support. Additional reading from them:

No, I don't. But if you're right that everybody shut up about it, then I guess nobody else did, either. What do I do now? Am I supposed to run around in circles like a chicken with its head cut off? (Yes, chickens do that. The one I saw was the same cockerel that had been bullying me, a four-year-old, in the same yard the day before. Difference was, it didn't last long, didn't cluck, and didn't, in fact see me: I was the one doing the watching.)

Index funds are not "like betting on all the horses at once", because in horse races there are a limited number of winning bets. With index funds, the entire market can perform well or poorly. It's more like betting on the racetrack itself. It doesn't matter who wins, so long as business is good.

Great video exposing the banking cartel. But everything is also so expensive because of all the central bank money printing. Which is another deliberate policy, one that lefties are told aids 'the poor' (more government money handouts) but is actually designed to rob the working and middle classes blind. It's a stealth tax that renders normal people's pensions, savings and salaries progressively worthless over time, while hard assets (which the rich 1% aggressively buy into) become increasingly unaffordable for normal people. If you look at house prices in the US or UK over the past 60 years measured in gold, they're actually pretty static - what has really happened in that time period is that the USD and GBP have become worthless. Which means if your wealth is tied up in fiat currency, it's forever lost its spending power. That's the real criminal theft against working people. And it's all by design.

There was a Cornucopia on Fruit of the Loom label on products sold by K-Mart. The cornucopia represented K-Mart and all it had to offer at the time. Sadly with K-Mart out of business, this is why it is no longer around. This has been proven time and time again.

I’ve often wondered, when you go into the business world of investing … at what point do you finally cross the Rubicon where you tell yourself “I really don’t care what happens to other people … whether they live or die, as long as I make money”. I honestly don’t know how these people sleep at night with the crimes against humanity that they dish out from behind closed doors on Wall Street. It really is a personality construct characterized by impaired empathy and remorse, bold, impulsive, egocentric traits, masked by superficial charm and the outward appearance of apparent normalcy.

This isn't a conspiracy Theory but have you heard of the untaxables it's extremely poor people here in America who technically make some money but are so far below the poverty line they can't afford to pay their taxes Even if they want to. / Their monthly survival budgets are so tight that they usually spend all their money they make throughout the year on survival largely Meaning every year they start over from zero or close to Zero building up the money through the year to spend it all by the end of the year. / What's concerning is to continue this system where we prop up the wealthy and absurdly wealthy and let them pay little to nothing at all in taxes because they simply say they don't want to because they're so rich in other words spoiling the wealthiest Americans rotten. / anyway as A result of this very backwards and dumb system when it comes to taxes the number of people who are becoming untaxable continues to steadily grow if this continues much longer it will be bad for the system of our society and country overall, / If you're wondering how think about it the wealthy Americans say they choose not to pay 'cause they don't want to pay a mathematical fair share in taxes based on how rich they are and the absurdly poor Largely say I'd like to pay you but I can't don't have it can't take money away from rent food or basic utilities Trying to tax these low income individuals Would yield little To NO tax money You would effectively be making their lives more unbearable in exchange for Blood change they need that change to help them survive that's how poor they are. / unlike the absurdly wealthy who choose not to pay

Well done piece. Thank you for the information. I remember back when my parents had a broker and invested a little in a few stocks. That sort of thing seemed to stop decades ago, but I hadn't realized what the process had been. With cuts in benefits, fewer people have access to pensions from work, let alone money to invest in the market.

Thank you Blackrock and Vanguard: because of you altough only starting to have financial literacy after 40 😢, at 50 I am a few years away of being able to have enough money to just wait for my retirement pension to kick in at 68, including keeping paying social security contributions and IRS. And, as I want to keep working, and not touch my savings I may one day have 1/4 of a million or even near 0.5M usd. That is more than what my paid for home is worth, in Portugal , in a mid upper class building. If you told me I would be able to be in such a situation 5 years ago, I would say that was crazy. Just work, keep buying SP 5000 doing dca, and chill

Here’s a way to conceptualize $1B: if an individual were paid $2,000/wk from the year 0 up until today, they would not even be paid $500,000,000 yet! So imagine what a TRILLION DOLLARS signifies. I don’t see how any of this gets righted so the avg investors has more of a say in what their money does…

I really struggle with this whole thing. For context, I studied economics so a lot of this wasnt new... but like... we put our money into protecting our retirement, and that money goes to these guys who make themselves fat off of a growing stock market that only grows because they made decisions that hurt us and if we did anything to fix it, retirees and near-retirees will be drastically hurt. I just dont know how we fix this. For our own sakes, we have to put money into an oroboros and hope that when it finally reaches its own head, we wont be alive anymore.

2) How about a petrodollar hegemony episode? Esp in light of the recent (quickly refuted) news that countries such as Saudi were not looking to settle exclusively in USD when trading oil with other countries. News outlets that reported on this soon had disclaimers stating there is/was no petrodollar agreement. They're sowing confusion by refuting the existence of the system by the conflationary acknowledgement that a "written agreement" around it never existed

Nice job. I think you kinda missed a curve in the road around CEO compensation with stock. That does not come out of profits, It is actually, basically a good idea if we could just keep the avarice out of it. Rewarding CEO's with stock encourages them to build a company with a future and discourages CEO's bleeding a company's future to look good right now (all too prevalent particularly with private capital). Rewarding CEO's with reserved stock only hurts the people who already own the stock - their value is diluted a few cents and the CEO gets millions that can't be traded for years.
