No, absolutely not. Most armored vehicles seen in severe weather are gonna try and get an intercept. They're most likely heading into the path of a tornado. It's one of the most important rules of storm chasing. Unless you are in an armored vehicle yourself, NEVER Follow an armored vehicle.

The part of the tornado that you can see with the naked eye is actually the core of the bizarre wind patterns that are taking place around it. Your drone was fighting against the insane drafts that were falling from the sky, and swooping back up. If we could see the rest of the tornado with the naked eye, I think it would be much more terrifying to watch. (The massive coils of wind that wrap around the core.

I mean probably know by now, but a tornado is defined as "touching the ground". But what people always forget is the dust kick up IS the tornado. The funnel isn't as important to note, it's seeing the funnel cloud + dust swirl. Once the dust kick up is there and swirling, it's touched the ground.

I can tell what happend here , for the reason why the drone was getting blown away and then how it went downwards fast towards the grass instead of hovering , your drone was attack by a dry microburst. around 3:31 on the left side of the forming tornado , you will see a second area of dust kicking up , you can see it appears to look like a wave but moving backwards , how dry microburst look like , this is what killed the tornado as well , 5:20 you can see the tornado not spinning upwards but spinning downwards and the left side of it appears to be gusting out in a straight way , 6:30 and appears to be gusting its way downwards and towards you. you can search up microburst and see they cause alot of plane crash in the world , the side of the microburst tend to push you up and away from it , while the core push's it down.

RFD is a type of downdraft , and a downdraft is compared to a funnel cloud while a downburst / microburst is compared to the tornado version of the downdraft meaning , RFD can be microburst as well. , you can find a graph of this somwheres.

Your aerial videos are by far the best views. Reveals size and violence not possible from ground videos. Hope to see many more of your videos. Also aerial videos of lightning striking the ground. Then fly to the spot struck. Manyears ago I saw lightning strike a newly plowed field. Soil exploded well into the air. After the storm I searched for the spot but never found it. You could!
