I wish there was a settings option to split it up. I like 3-click from the tee/fairway, but I can't putt worth a crap with it. I'd rather putt with the stick.

I time it in my head several times before I do a swing and yes use the audio cues and keep your eyes focused on the meter the muscle memory will take care of the rest, so long as you're not relying heavily on the visual cuz for me it makes my tempo a little slow sometimes, but I do like to at least watch it some because it's really important to time the start of your shot exactly.

Thank you for breaking this down! I just now tried 3-click for the first time and it will be my preferred method going forward. Its extremely satisfying and the timing of it reminds me of reloading in games like Gears of War or Star Wars Battlefront 2.

My controller has no drift on the right stick sat for a couple days with it and I just could not be consistent tried calibration and it was just awful soon as I swapped to 3 click and got the rhythm down my game improved instantly still shank shots but it's so much easier and that's playing on sculptor level 30

Good explanation of FULL swings even for Master but pitching & chipping is WAY. WAY faster and extremelly difficult to do the timming while putting is WAY slower, so beware that your will have to deal THREE very different timmings in a single match. Have you ever tried pitching & chipping with Legend difficulty?.....don't try this at home and go back to stick wing😉

Someone on Reddit made a post about swing stick being pretty unusable for Xbox players due to the lack of response time between console and controller. Being on xbox, 3 click is the only way to be competitive in this game. Too many inconsistencies in tempo with xbox controllers, sucks cause its not the users fault.

On the training ground, I went to the bunkers where it will go 24 ft up to the green with a lob wedge, in the actual game play it will not clear 7ft with 3 click, but the swingers don't have that problem. The other grip is the putter meter it's to quick compered with the swingers.

Can use left stick but since I'm lefty I've been using the right stick since launch but lately my right stick is not swinging the club. I pull down and player resets to start pos. Well, I'm not sure what you mean by 'rhythm'. The speed with which the 3 clicks follow one another definitely changes according to club and shot type.

Just worth consideration with the "3 click is way easier" argument. 1) Sure, it's a reactionary input. 2) you play swing stick with 1/3 of the ui disabled. So of course partials are easier on 3C. You have no visual queues for partials on SS.

This could save my game. The swing timing thing on swing stick is just so random-seeming. And there's no shades of gray for difficulty. Time it perfectly down to the millisecond (time what I'm still not sure) or your ball goes sideways. They need to clean that up.

On PC, hold shift. There are two things you can adjust. One is your left click to raise or lower the arc of flight and or fade right and left. Right click is to give the ball front spin or back spin.

Everyone - Have you changed the graphics setting? 3 click is not playable on my PS5 on quality graphics mode. You MUST change it to performance graphics in the game setting. Then 3 click is smooth. IMO, the game should auto switch to performance if the user selects 3 click.

They ruined the game with 3 click , it’s too easy and doesn’t feel realistic. It’s not as fun to use as the swing stick . They should’ve made separate ranked modes for three stick and swing stick or something they messed up with that one .
