For boiled eggs, use your instant pot! I use the 5/5/5 method (5 minutes on manual, 5 minutes natural pressure release, then release the rest and 5 minutes in an ice bath). The shells never stick when I do them in the instant pot like this!

I'm reminded of an old joke "One of the hardest things about being an adult is deciding what to have for dinner every day for the rest of your life!" I can only imagine how much harder it is with a large family, 3 meals a day, each person with their own likes and dislikes. Thanks for sharing!

For those of us who don’t have ice makers, I keep a couple frozen ice packs in the freezer, (ever the long thin ones meant to put in water bottles works, but you need more of them! I use ice packs for anything that needs an ice bath, to stop the cooking. It’s reusable, and the few ice cubes we have, I save for iced tea, etc.!!

I grow my own and I love cooking. I hate the clean up. You might want to think about cubing your potatoes and canning them. They are excellent to make potato salad with. Fast and easy. Also watch Acre Homestead. She has many meal prep idea's. I never ever peel my potatoes. I use red potatoes for mashed. They are called Dirty Potatoes. Thank you so much for the tendon hack!!!!

I so relate and remember how it felt when my children were younger and I felt like I was cooking nonstop as I cooked from scratch too. It was especially difficult when we came to the U.K. to join in a Christian mission. This meant that family members weren’t around…however, in time, my children learned to cook. This is one of the things they thank me for now - that we ate together and that we had healthy meals most of the time. ❤☺️ You guys are amazing and modelling wholesome living to your family.

I dunno I live in Texas. An Ohio transplant actually from Springfield. I moved to Texas in 1982. In Texas a tortilla press is used for corn tortillas and flour tortillas are rolled out. So don't pay any attention to the trolls you are doing it just right. Besides your kitchen your rules. anyone not happy can go by the rule their kitchen their rules

Michelle's comments about being a tomboy and not loving cooking and your kids constantly asking to eat could have come out of my mouth. I constantly stress about meals. I don't meal prep but I meal plan and that's been a huge help. I make our granola bars in a similar way. Butter, brown sugar local honey and vanilla. Rolled oats and puffed einkorn. I add pecans, raisins and chocolate chips. We love them so much more than the store bought granola bars. Congrats on 200k subscribers. VA is amazing. My husband's cousin lives there. They have 10 acres and we stay a few times a year.

Thank you, Michelle, for sharing your food preps and hacks. I will definitely be using the hack with the fork to remove the tendon from the chicken. Food prepping can come in handy besides preparing meals for the week at home. My husband and I just came back from being in a shelter for 4 days during Hurricane Milton here in Sarasota, FL. Two weeks leading up to the storm, I was prepping meals to take with us. Even though the shelter served 3 meals a day. It was not food that I could eat. I have special dietary restrictions, so I dehydrated a lot of chicken jerkey for protein and fruit for snacks and prepared some salads to eat cold. We have an electric cooler to keep our food cold along with my husbands medications. I was able to relax, knowing I had food that I normally eat at home. The medical shelter we stayed at was amazing, but it's sad to see how unprepaired people are for emergencies and the dependence people have on others to feed them. 😢

I could see the difference in my eyesight decline (I'm a senior citizen) because the there was no skins on them. Most of the nutrients are definitely in the skins!

I like and love how you both do your videos. It make me very happy when I see the both of you on video and you put out a video. But I want to tell her that I have to commend you and how you know how to do scratch cooking very well for your family and what they like now. You have done a very good job in the short of time. I've watched your videos that she had learned very well how to cook from scratch very well and that make me very happy to see a woman like your statured that has learned how to cook from scratch and doesn't go to the store and have to buy crappy food that has all the preservatives and additive in the food. That is not good for your body especially lately food coloring that is not good for your body as well. This is why when I see a good woman that knows how to cook from scratch, I want to really tell them because I want you to know that I'm learning how to cook from scratch as well because I don't like all the additive and Prince Edward tips in the food in the grocery store as well. Now I'm getting ready to watch your new video. I hope the both of you and your family.
